Well, I've found some wonderful books, it just took some long, hard, looking..
Unfortunately, I'm not prepared to pay 200.00-900.00 for these antique lovlies....it's a real pain to have champagne taste and a beer pocketbook

I know.. I was blown away by the prices..
I love the Seymour Eaton..Roosevelt Bears series..
The early Beatrix Potter's. and Chloe Preston's..

the Uncle Wiggly series and Earnest Nister..just a whole lot.. but just can't justify spending that kind of money on a whim..

But I may just switch my antique doll collecting to books..

No, not yet.. but now that I have found what I am looking for.. I will continue to search until I can find some I can afford.

I have just donated 200+ books to the local thrift store.. so my library shelves are open for more books!

I remember picture books with photos of Monkeys or Cats and Dogs or other critters dressed in human clothing.

Were these cave drawings?

I mean, I found by reading a newspaper that these editor generals saw all of the defects plainly from the start but didn't tell me until it was too late. Maggie, do you collect any Mother Goose books?

They're pretty common but any with great art are interesting.

How does that one rhyme go...

Oh, I remember:

JACK SPRAT could eat no fat, his wife could eat no lean,
So betwixt them both you see , they licked the platter clean!

She must've been a whopper!

Classic, you'll be happy to know that any Seuss books I have are not first editions and some little bugger has usually colored in them.....
