Those FACTS just blow his mind...and then it comes out of his mouth....much to our dismay.

Maggie, it's a term used online to distinguish a real store in a city from a web store and no one refers to their store that way in real life.

Nope Maggie! But we had to say BM or bowel movement if it had to be talked about at all! lol! Not poopie or poops or doo-doo like the other kids. She would have none of that cheap uneducated dirty street talk in her house!!! She didnt like pee much, but that begrudingly was allowed and pee-pee or wee-wee was definitly out, too. She made sure to tell us the word was urinate. Her approach was just very clinical. But that was her profession. {shrug} As a kid, I thought it was rather severe. But as an adult I am glad she had some standards and taught us that.
Well gee, thanks for that interesting segue there, maggie.

OH.. Mingo.. you brought back a frightening memory..with that statement!
When my youngest daughter was a year and a half.. I took her to the zoo and I had her in a stroller.. we joined the crowd of people around the monkey cage and one of the monkeys pitched an incredible fit when he saw my daughter..flinging himself at the bars of the cage and making all kinds of horrible screeching.. the crowd was as shocked as I was and I literally ran pushing the stroller away as fast as possible.. he followed us to the other end of the cage carrying on something fierce..until we were out of his range of vision.. I have no idea what that was all about , it's not like my baby looked like a baby monkey or anything.. LOL.. but that scene is something I will never forget...

"This war has turned south and needs timeline for getting out. It can be done and should be done. But to keep bashing President Bush over this is like beating a dead horse, nothing is going to happen to him or the others they will be here until 2009."
Ron- it doesn't take a liberal or a conservative, or however far from the center you are to figure this out. Just some common sense... but we have neonazicons like Linda who will support the entire agenda and actions of Bush, much like those who followed Hitler. She will be there willing to accept anything this Administration does. She doesn't question the path she and other Americans are being taken down. She won't admit the problems... in fact, she demonizes those who do see the facts as they are, not from a Fox news broadcast she glues herself to. There are too many Americans who can see the big picture and they do not like what they see. Linda has made it very clear that she follows an extremist neo-fascist view. She quotes Ann Coulter, she has begged for an ultra-conservative judge to be appointed to the Supreme Court, and most importantly she spreads her opinion as if her viewpoint is the only one that matters and should be carved into law. She is a hypocrite because she chastises others for "calling her names", but does the same thing herself. She acts like she has been so touched by God, that she is a martyr for that which she worships, which from my particular view could be the Church of George W. Bush. She has absolutely no concept of seperation of church and state, and she has no concept that most liberals do not support abortion, but rather supports the individual to be able to make that very difficult decision for themselves (this would be more of a conservative value of less government). Linda is always willing to push her faith based agenda so much that she loses sight of her hypocrisy in it. She is willing to cast that first stone, pass judgement, and damn that individual to hell because of her skewed view of government.
I have never complained directly of being called names. I could care less... I've had my user name rewritten in so many ways by those who disagree with me, we could probably write a book on it. I am not willing to let name calling become the central focus of debate as Linda always seems to do. It is simply her way of trying to move the focus away from her lost cause.

I hate to break the news to you gumbo but linda hasn't lost anything, in fact quite the contrary, she's a winner and all of us Conservatives here are winners. Our candidate won and yours didn't and now all the liberals here are making it quite clear of how much pain they are in about it all. Well i for one am glad you are hurting and i hope that you continue to hurt in 2006 and even after 2008.

"UP by 207,000 and a few more thousands revised for June too."
Wow, finally an slight upswing... Once you hit rock bottom, the only way to go is up!
The real question to ask about those numbers is what was the net gain in wages for all those 207K people? How many people went from well paying tech jobs to McJobs flipping burgers or serving Starbucks? The real truth is what those numbers represent, not just the number. This could also be applied to how much money Bush continues to "spend" on that wonderful war he's leading. You can spend billions, but it is what you have to show for it that counts. Perhaps you could also apply that concept to Leave No Child Behind... oh, you get my point.

Spoken like a true neofascist. Piin wants others to hurt. I'm not hurting. To the contrary, I am doing just fine. I may not like the lack of ethics and professionalism that this current administration has provided, but I am not hurting. I see this country much differently, and I would guarantee I see it much clearer than Piin does. You see... I want what is good for everybody. I want Americans to be just, resolute, and honorable. I want to see our economy prosper, so that everyone can make more money, not just the wealthy. Our military should be used for the right reasons, not to raid oil fields so the President and his buddies can make a few more million to line their pockets. Yes, I can agree that Bush was re-elected, but in reality that doesn't mean squat. To me, it is about what he does to improve this country. From the day Bush took office he has led this country backwards, to the brink of self-destruction and from my perspective and that of a majority of Americans who agree with me, especially now that the election is over. This is what happens when you lead a corrupt government. The people will become resentful. And the balance of power is swinging back. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Not just for me, but for all of us. No one is perfect, and there are some admirable traits of Bush that have been lost in the mix, but that doesn't change the fact that the guy is an idiot and most Americans are really starting to open their eyes and realize it.

One thing you do NOT want to say about me is that I do not support our troops.
I am a proud military wife - husband just retired after 20 years of service - 8 years active Navy, the remainder in the reserves. He served in the Gulf.
He continues to serve by being one of the top Intelligence Analysts in Washington, DC.

I believe that most people support the troops regardless of how they may feel about Bush or the Iraq war and regardless of their employment or past experience in the military.
But it's good that you are proud of your husband, carolinetyler. Wives generally have similar respect for their husbands.
