No..you are incorrect, again Linda. I do not defend anyone here on everything. I believe I have shown that to you personally. But if YOU would rather say that just to side with DBL.. do so.. if it makes you feel good.
DBL..you are dribbling again.. and I don't have one idea what you are talking about.. seriously, are you off of your meds or something? You've been attacking everyone lately... what's up with that? Personally I believe you are a real nut bar!
Edited to add.. why are you attaching the quotes of others to me? Are you so delusional right now, that you believe Mingo, Kiara, and myself to be the same person? And why would you of all people talk about other's having another id..Neroter? and who ever else you may be, Jack Sprat or perhaps his wife?

Good. Cleeve to that wally-baller. And then take your william tell self and sell your story to the national enquirer - I'm sure they'll pay you a million bucks for it. But I bet it wont be quite as interesting as you squeezing 37 men out of their hard-earned retirement funds or insurance money.

Yes, maggie, I agree your approach to ME has very much improved. We have been able to address each other in a civil manner lately. [since your last return ]
But to deny you often have backed up/defended how crowfarm/MG speaks to others....is to deny the truth. Many here know it's the truth...they've read it.
You protect her a lot.

No, linda, I was referring to the several statements attributing disease to immigrants cooking in restaurants. This is a broad brush statement that is false.
Black people have suffered from the same type of stereotypical thinking.

I agree with you on that statement, Linda.
I did agree with what Crow used to post when she was with us on the RT. not so much defending as you put it, but actually agreeing with her take on things. I have however disagreed with her on several occasions and she with me. One time in particular when she said some unkind things about your son I thought it was crossing the line, and perhaps I should have spoken out against it, but then, you didn't speak out against Twelve when he said some very ugly things about my daughter's cancer scare.. so there you go..that same old double standard rearing it's ugly head.
I have tried to keep my posting as polite as possible since as you pointed out my last booting.. but if you notice, that seems to work to my disadvantage with those who see my kinder gentler side as a weakness and only serves to allow them to take advantage of my situation..

Well....now you know how I have felt....being in the same position when I used to be much more respectful when posting to others. Learned over the years that just put me at a disadvantage....just as you say you feel. So I can identify with that frustration.

Yes, helen. I understand you have very little sense of humor so a joke from a Steinfeld show upset your moral code.
But it IS a document FACT...I know you don't like facts...but sanitition is a BIG spreader of disease. And immigrants who have not known nor practiced the same hygiene habits we have ARE passing these diseases around AT ALARMING RATES.
So...stay where you feel most comfortable, helen...in denial. But it would be nice if you wouldn't get so nasty with those who are willing to SEE the PROOF of who's causing what to happen and does stay based in reality.

Linda, while I agree immigrants may have more levels of bacteria, or germs because of cramped living quarters and poor water and hygine conditions that they may be transporting here, after studying infectious diseases in microbiology, I think, most of these things have morphed into super strains that live on fomites longer than the scientists had originally determined they do. Plus, I think, because they thought they had it pretty much eradicated in this country, the new generation of doctors havent paid much attention to these things as sources of infection or illness.
Much of their focus and interest is in technology, cells and biogenitics, imo.

dbl - I'm not saying that there aren't stronger bacteria, I'm not saying that once some diseases were eradicated from our country, that doctors weren't paying as much attention to them. They had no reason too. But now with the immigrants bringing so many of these diseases back into our country....it IS having a negative affect on our health...and the diseases more American's are coming down with....etc....
I was just pointing out how the simple act of washing one's hands before handling food can prevent a lot of infectious diseases from being passed around. AND that other countries have never practiced the same sanitation rule we have been taught and don't do so after using the rest room.

Yes, I know Linda, and I agree about washing hands. (But I think in some fast food restaurants they are hard-pressed to even get some Americans kids to do it. - I could be wrong though!)
But I did write on this board about a position I took to make some temp money where this woman was goffing and gaffing all over the place and not even covering her mouth?? (I wound up with Pneumonia from that cute little escapade.)

So now you think that Americans are the only people in the world who wash their hands? I'm only surprised that you didn't limit that group of Americans to conservative right wing Republicans.
Linda, you are one nutty biddy!

And once again helen tries to put words in someone elses mouth and she tries to bolster her claim by saying that she's surprised that she didn't make it exclusive to Republicans only.
When are you going to realise that everyone sees the lame schoolyard tactics that you use and that they won't work here.

Reminds me of the girls at the college in Saudi Arabia that said that visiting teachers were always surprised that they were not riding camels to schools and living in tents.

----------------
dbl - I'm not in disagreement that anyone who doesn't wash their hands and handles our food can pass things to us.
This thread was about all the different diseases immigrants have brought into our country. One of them being this food handling issue. When we worked...my husband and I commented all the time on the number of people we worked with that didn't wash their hands....but they weren't handling our food either.

So helen...you think by doing that people aren't going to see that you lie often? Just like you have above.
They will....
-----------------------
On costs of deporting vs cost of illegals staying I ran across this article on the cost of them being here....in just one state....
And this is just costs to the state....doesn't include any Federal expenses for them.
---
The costs to Floridians, according to the report, is more than $4 billion a year in providing public education to the children of illegal immigrants, about $165 million a year in non-reimbursed costs for health care, and about $155 million a year to jail illegal aliens in county and state correctional facilities.
"In reality, low-wage illegal alien labor is prohibitively expensive, when the costs of vital public services are factored into the equation," Stein said.
"Average Floridians are being forced to subsidize illegal immigration and the burden will increase rapidly unless federal, state and local governments begin working together to stem the massive influx."
