Private Company Plans $100 Million Tour Around the Moon
By JOHN SCHWARTZ
One day after NASA brought the shuttle Discovery back from low Earth orbit, a private company plans to announce a more audacious venture, a tourist trip around the Moon.
Space Adventures, a company based in Arlington, Va., has already sent two tourists into orbit. Today, it is to unveil an agreement with Russian space officials to send two passengers on a voyage lasting 10 to 21 days, depending partly on its itinerary and whether it includes the International Space Station.
A roundtrip ticket will cost $100 million.
The space-faring tourists will travel with a Russian pilot. They will steer clear of the greater technical challenge of landing on the Moon, instead circling it and returning to Earth.
Eric Anderson, the chief executive of Space Adventures, said he believed the trip could be accomplished as early as 2008. Mr. Anderson said he had already received expressions of interest from a few potential clients.

classic, youre right about the tang - it had a funny aftertaste, too. (probably from the crude way they put all those vitamins in it back then.) I dont like gatorade for the same reason.
hey classic - whats with all this Jack radio now? Heard its some pre-canned stuff coming out of BC?
Did you go down into the city at cbs to protest to bring cousin brucie and oldies 101 back? Oldies are you favorites, arent they?
Cousin brucie, I grew up with. He was on an AM station when I first heard of him...do you remember? ..Its funny, whenever I hear his name mentioned, I think of summertime's on the beach. I was just a kid, but ya hadda have a radio with cousin brucie on ....

No, I'm saying -- I'm merely -- I'm saying what I'm saying. I don't know why I'm always having people say, are you trying to say -- you know what you can do if you want to know what I'm saying is listen to what I'm saying. What I'm saying is what I said ...

I dont know, fenix. But they are spreading like wildfires. We have one here called BOBFM and I just heard another one called MAXFM.
I cant say the music selection is all that bad, but I have noticed they run the same programs over and over in different time slots. (I doubt the public or most people even notice it much. If, they are even listening what with IPOD'S, cell phones etc.)
But I think it lends very little ambiance or mood to a broadcast program and no room for improv. To me, it's a shame everything is now "bot-a-tized." But the trend sure doesnt look like it's going away, either. It's like those most infuriating voice response systems all over the place! The radio stations must love it though. They pay for a computer package, and thats it.
LOL! The nerds cant keep their fingers out of anything! And then people wonder why everything's such a mess with no real communications going on. ::shrug/smile::

It's "JAC" radio for the first station to try it KJAC, it supposedly plays over 1500 songs a day and plays every format.
It doesn't have lame disc jockeys or any disc jokeys for that matter, does break in with some ads every so often
I listen the one here in Portland area, hate the morning DJ's here.

lol! Well Ron, whether you love them or you hate them, you 'feel' and react to something about them. Not quite the same with a dulled-out simulated computer program, imo.
ps: please dont say you hate anything. You might belie your botness to others
