"DBL. Linda, Mingo, Dr.Arc, Colin,Krafty, sometimes Krafty, and Helen, and I think Logans is there too, using another name. The room they chat in is Crossfire. There are lots of different rooms over there, but Crossfire is the one that caters to mostly politics."

Maggie, I've chosen to stay out of that noisy battle, Good Lord, what a beating Linda is taking and so far, I think that she is enjoying the hell out of it. Any attention...even negative attention is what she craves.

It's interesting reading. Which name do you think Logansdad is using?

::Fenix, you do have an obsession with all things crime. Why didnt you become an FBI Agent or something? Do you tango with it in your real life? (well duh, I am sure you are going to answer that. You probably give criminals 'how to' tips from all your watching shows)!!::

If I could go back and do it all over again, I probably would try to go into criminal profiling. I think that is probably the most fascinating job in town.

As it is I am stuck as a criminal consultant. Thanks to my mob movie obsession I can suggest and help plan certain jobs. Thanks to CSI, Cold Case and Forensic Files I can help tell them what pitfalls to avoid in terms of leaving a trail. And thanks to Law & Order I can secretly help plan their defense if they ignore all my other advice.

Is Linda posting here at all anymore?

Did Bear go to OTWA?

And something pertaining to the topic, I just heard the smallest bit of the news yesterday, that Mike Holgrem is challenging the calls the officials made? I think that is what it was about, anyone hear that?
Can he do that after the game like this? I hope not.

I have no idea, near.

Seems to me she is popping in and out over here on occasion still.

I think if they are doing that, its for stats or records purposes only? History and numbers really matter to pro leagues, I guess?

Near - Linda still makes hit and run posts asserting her supoior level of patriotism now and again.

As for Holgren, I think his "challenging the cals" is more along the lines of questioning some of them. Not only can you not challenge a call after then end of the game, you can't challenge a call after the ball is snapped on the next play. Also you cannot challenge holding and pass interference type calls, which seemed to be the big issue during the game, no matter what.

fenix and dbl, I didn't think he could do anything to change the game now. It really was a strange game though

I don't read all the threads here, but kinda curious about the Losing virginity one LOL!

I went over there to stir up things, and did I ever do a good job.

Already got several of them cussing at me then I pointed out their obvious inbreeding ways & dubious parental heritage.

Yes it is.

I changed my plans in the building I'm setting up my business in and it's taken two weeks to get the contractor back again so I'm running several weeks behind schedule. There are too many distractions and phone calls to get involved in a movie or TV when I want to unwind so I usually read over there now. Drama! Comedy! It's all there in one package. And now so many there 'lack moral character' just like here ......... WoW!

Bear, I think it's rude to go to a new board and behave the way you did when there are so many good posters there and the board has been one of the best for political discussion.

The sad part is that I get the feeling that most there don't want their board turned into another RT.

Right, Kiara

Bear, it's wrong to contribute to the crazy disruption that colin and linda have already caused. OTWA is a good board with even tempered, reasonable and knowledgeable posters on both sides. To them you may appear uninformed and therefore unimportant if all that you have to contribute is a silly and childish attempt to insult.

Well near, one thing kraft knows how to do is work a title...thats for sure!!

Helen, how can you attempt to control a board and its members if its free? And I dont mean doing things to harm people, but in reality; one person's insult is anothers humor. One persons political opinion is as real and feverant as anothers? If it was a private cluster of people than you would probably have to pay for a membership - dont you think? Would that in effect weed out the untempered you speak of? And what then?0 Everyone would be subject to the 'boardz' qualifications like a church group or something. no?

The sad part is that I get the feeling that most there don't want their board turned into another RT.

How do you know what most feel? Did they do a thread on it? Take a vote or a poll? From what you all say they are escapees from here b/c they protested the cc thing. But also from what you all say, they still read this board, too. `-What does that say?

Dbl...That quote was Kiara's...but I agree based on the responses that have been made on OTWA by each of the major players there.

By giving Bear some good advice and making an effort to discourage his brand of disruption, I am not attempting to control another board. I have enjoyed reading that board for a long time and I don't like to see it disrupted by a bunch if uninformed neocons. If there is anything that I can do here to help them maintain the integrity of their good board, why shouldn't I give it a try?

Kiara, I beg your pardon. I posted an opposing article about Carter calling the wiretaps illegal. Immediately I was jumped on for doing so. When I posted an opposing article about Plame, again I was ganged up on.

I did not fire the first insulting verbal salvo. I did respond with the same amount of force in which I was attacked.

I did not call anyone a dumbazz or dipship, like I was called by your GOOD posters.

Apparently your GOOD posters are not as open to opposing viewpoints as you like, choosing to lambast those who do so.

Those are your comments and your intentions, Bear. Your reputation preceded you there as some of the posters say that they read here also. And when you preface a c & p that their opinion is all BS and only you have the correct one, what do you expect?

Though some used to post at the RT there are others that have been on that board and site for a long time...... before they even had a political discussion board separate from the other ones as they do now.

They are obviously intelligent, well-spoken and informed on many subjects and seemed to maintain a certain standard on their board despite some disagreements. When others arrive like recently and start disrupting the board by telling them that they are inbred, liars, hypocrites and lack morals just because they happen to disagree with them, it affects the quality of the board and eventually the entire site.

Kiara if all it takes to stir them up to the point of cursing and snide comments is to post opposing posts (without ANY snide comments) to THEIR c & p's, THEY are a pretty sorry lot. That YOU are defending them doesnt say much for you either.

They don't want it to turn into the RT. Ok, fine, but damn, most of them came from here!

Helen, since you post here a lot, that doesn't bother you that people there 'don't like the RT people' (thats a pretty childish remark)

I do know some people there, and Beth (Hellcat) so if she is looking here, Howdy Hellcat

NMear - you have read the threads here in the past few months. Would you want a forum that you enjoy turned into what this place became? There was not an intelligent conversation started that even lasted a whole page before it became it was turned into Bear and Colin attacking someones sexuality, Peepas whacked out commonly incomprehensible rants, Linda calling everyone that disagreed with her anti-america lying stalkers. Crows annoy copying and pasting and recopying and repasting or Dbl vs me or Dbl vs Kiara in some dumbassed pissing match.

I can't imagine anyone reading some of those threads and thinking.. "Boy those are some quality people, I'd really like to have a discussion with them."

NTS...I don't like what the RT has become either so I understand their feelings and it's why I don't post here with as much enthusiasm as I used to have. As you may have noticed, I haven't started a thread here for several months...maybe over a year. And, I've been overlooking posts by several people here including those by linda, bear and colin. I'm really beginning to wonder why I even continue to read here...maybe just a habit or silly optimism that the situation may change.

Gawd, I have never seen such people so full of themselves and their own 'tudes.

Take a superbowl thread and turn it into yet another "are you reading the other boards" and then complain about derailing and the quality of threads and make it a whine about how this is not how you wish it to be.

What a joke.

fenix, are you in love or something? Or just giant relief to be back home and away from the parents again?

Oh and btw, in your diatribe of posters, you forgot to add the one called fenix that goes on a prosecurial quest with a vulcan vengeance and gets quite upset when somebody else doesn't want to play along with that. hahaha...

Hey - I mentioned me as a baddy at times - I just co-opted you into my guilt.

Not in love... you might call it the joy of karmic vengeance. Back in my former life I had a very talented roommate who possessed no redeeming value as a human being. My parting words to him when our living arrangement ended was that he should pray that karma was a myth or he was going to be seriously screwed. Well it took a few years but he somehow managed, much to my chagrin, to get his dream shot. Yesterday I found out that he was quite unceremoniously dropped in such a way that no similar opportunity will ever be presented to him again and for exactly the traits that I told him years ago were going to be his downfall. Add that to the Steelers winning and the knowledge that I once again have to the time and opportunity to implement some of the plans I have been building in my brain for the past year or so and I am just stupid silly giddy these days.
