Please, Please, Please??? Someone please tell me how to put a gif/jpg in my postings? I wanted to do the Happy Birthday thing the other day, and sgtmike has a cool thread going that I would LOVE to jump in on! I could probably figure out the html for it, but it would take me a while....

Hi Junquemama,
It's good to see you, and nice of you to show us what your son does when he's not posting here. Too bad he can't do anything about those flies, though.
I have just learned that we are due for another retrograde Mercury starting October 18 and lasting til November 7. That makes 3 this year, a total of 9 weeks in retrograde, or 17% of the year. That seems pretty excessive. Is it the same every year? I also wondered whether some retrogrades are worse than others in terms of degreee of dysfunctionality. Do other planets go retrograde as well?

Pareau,I think you may have something on the
One retro may be worse or some more then others. We need to track down VeryModern,,
Maybe she will hear us over here.Junkson doesnt call or write,Nary a thought for one that tolls,You know washing clothes at the creek is starting to wear on my boney knees.
Doc said if I had a thoughtful son,He'd buy me one of them new fangled washer machines.
Maybe next year he'll make enough selling them pop cans piled up in the back yard.City

That's GREAT, junquemama! It really IS sonny, isn't it? I thought those were published cartoons til I saw your name. I'm mightily impressed. Are you selling them online? Or ARE they already published? I can't believe, junqueson's mother a famous cartoonist...

Pareau,No never did anything with my little people. All my cartoons were maritime,So not much interest with the shore folks. However I just might do something with the characters and use them around computors one day.I have one cartoon that does look a lot like junkson.Alas he is foiled in his attempts of humor directed towards a lady known as big Bertha.Big bertha always wins.I just copyright them every 5 years.Thankyou for the cyber roses,Made me feel good.

pear-o is just trying to lead you into revealing things, Ma. He's treating you like he thinks that you're stupid.

Junkson,Well that pretty much sucks if true.
Guess it just felt nice having someone compliment my work.I dont talk doublespeak,
Being in central Texas,Born and raised we say
What we mean,And mean what we say.And I dont
understand anything else,So if this is stupid
I be stupid.Damn, that hurt my feelings.

Pareau: You know, I used to think you were over-reacting. However, these incidents keep re-occurring - even a thread started elsewhere yesterday. Do others feel threatened because they know they can never best you in a word fight? I just don't get it.

Junquemama,
What krs is saying is cruel to us both. I meant every word of what I said to you, and I don't understand why he'd treat you so badly. You're messing with her feelings about how people feel about her art, krs, purely for your own ends, since as we both know I have no ulterior motives. Your doing this says a whole lot of ugly about the person you are. Take your unsavory thoughts elsewhere.
Junquemama, this is how I really see your work, and believe it, because it's true. I actually thought about that image of the fellow in the straightjacket on the way home tonight. His expression is extremely well done, with that economy of line that's the gift of a natural cartoonist/artist. That's right there for everyone to see, and pointing it out and complimenting you on a real talent comes with no strings attached. I am not looking to make you "reveal things"; if my hinting at whether you're published read that way, it wasn't what I was meant or was thinking. I've known a number of artists in my lifetime, worked with some closely, and bought a lot of their work, and I think your stuff is definitely worth showing people. I wouldn't snow you, and sure I don't want to make you feel bad, under any circumstances, but especially in association with your work. That said, I'm not going to hold back on commending a native talent that's really worth displaying because some man wants to stomp on something tonight.
Stockticker, I don't know what gives. I pick up a great sense of resentment. You might have something, ludicrous as it seems to me and probably most people here. I know one thing: If lying were a paid profession, some of these losted persons would be rich, rich, rich.
Junquemama, I'll leave you with a quote to take to heart:
"Great souls have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds." -Albert Einstein
