jeanyu,

Your post to krs:

you a frickin wheeney and I knew it from day one. Phoney--phoney---big fricking phoney!!!!

is a direct insult. I am issuing you an informal warning. I strongly urge you to cease the personal comments. This warning will escalate or not depending on how and if you choose to continue.

Hi Ken, and Kel...

I, too, Pareau, have read these Viet Nam threads with great interest (and aren't ya happy I stayed outta them Ken?) and am learning. I have one very good friend who is a VNV, but he is loathe to talk about his experiences most of the time. Back to the rafters for me, with my eyes peeled...

Pattaylor--but it felt so good I understand and will handle KRS with kid glove care from this day forward and actually try to to ignore this poster-----how much I try---he sorta kinda ingages me.

I'm sure he hates my guts as much as I do his

Bah! New cable modem due tomorrow.

Pat,
No, I'm not glad you stay out; in fact you've been referred to as the vietnam vet who knew the truth about me and exposed that on the DNF or some such stuff.
It was kinda' odd to me as the only American women I saw there were doughnut dollies and nurses. Were you a Doughnut Dolly? Did we meet on a romantic moonlit and enchanted eve in the Laikhe basecamp? Or were you the woman of my dreams at FSB Oran?

ummm, edited to clarify that I'm addressing Pat, plsmith, not Pattaylor. LOL!

hahaha, Ken, I probably am the woman of your dreams...

I was alerted to my having been referred to here as a bickering VNV ages ago on the DNF; when I discovered the source of the post, I shook my head and decided to let him dig his own hole -- again.

I've been thinking of starting a new thread here, though... something light and fun; tell me whatcha think of this:

Who's your fantasy mate from the chatboard world?

I've been pairing people in my mind with Dolly Levi perfection:

Jeanyu and SgtMike

Anyone else got any Matches Made To Order?

My apologies for temporarily detouring this thread, Pareau, et al. If I had something of substance to contribute to the topic, I'd gladly do so. At least I've finally learned to keep my mouth shut when I don't know what I'm talking about. (Well, mostly, heh.)
Now back to reading...

(But LOL myself about Amy and Antiquary!)

No, plsmith, no apologies--I should have put one of those rueful smilies on my post. I confess all thought stopped as I imagined the pairing of Amy and Antiquary.

I think we need a moment of silence.

Do you realize, Pareau, that the battles between Amy and Antiquary date to the inception of AW, and that they have dissolved and ended in a polite peace long before you have claimed to have come here?

Phoney--phoney---big fricking phoney!!!!

jeanyu calls krs a phony, gets a warning.

sgtmike opens a whole thread to call krs a phony, asserts as much in that thread, then repeats it in yet another thread ... and still hasn't been warned.

How about some equal treatment? Both jeanyu and sgtmike should have been warned.

Does this make sgtmike a Champion?

Why KRS! You told me in a thread last January that you only came by AW (as Henry) 3 or 4 times in February 1999. Did you have a different ID before then? As I recall, AW started up in the fall of 1998.

LOL, krs, can't know any such thing about Amy and Antiquary. I have no memory of ever seeing them "battle," so I know nothing of a "peace" made between them--although Antiquary's ranking as prime exemplar in the intelligent avoidance of conflict cannot be challenged. My comment went to character and personality only, as seen by me in their respective, independent posts. I'm glad you're filling me in on ancient history again, since I've been here less than a year and am still learning the ropes, with the help of folks like you. For which I am ever grateful, krs.

Spaz, it was probably the "wheeney" that put it over the top, though far be it from me to speculate on the finer points of moneration.

Irene, dear,
Can you point me to that portion of my statement above which gave you to believe that I was saying that I was present for those battles?

And they don't seem to moderate for "fricking" or "frigging," curiously.

I guess it makes sense. An adjective isn't an insult.
To say "you are a lousy person" would not be an insult but to say "you are a louse" would be.

Spaz, BTW, you missed that he continued on into this thread in the same baseless vein.

KRS dear,

Can you point me to that portion of my post in which I said you were there? I just wondered and so I asked. I thought you might have been since it's been my general observation that it is usually those with a history of multiple IDs who seem to suspect others of the same behavior.

Goodnight.

Is that so? I wouldn't have thought that that is entirely true, but now that you've said what you just said, Irene, I'm closer to believing that you may be right.

Goodnight Irene, Goodnight.

Trashing people with baseless accusations seems to the weapon of choice these days. Second time in two weeks I've watched a blowhard try to increase his own popularity by attempting to destroy the reputation of someone who arouses his jealousy.

It's disgraceful..

Well, since the subject has arisen, I would like to ask for clarification.
I thought SGT and KRS were friends. I remember shortly after I started reading at AW, there was a big uproar, resulting in one of sarge's mandatory 30 day vacations. If I remember correctly, there was an issue regarding the hostility between the 2 and KRS indicated that, no, they were really good friends who liked to jab one another. I think someone wrote at the time how upsetting the battles between the 2 of them were.
Am I remembering this wrong?
