Nowhere have I said terrorists should be negotiated with, nor did I say to hand them an olive branch, desquirrel.
My comment the other day was in reference to Palin's speech at the church where she says her leaders are sending the soldiers out on a task from God, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan.
Simple question - do you believe as she does?
If you are equating rabid raccoons to terrorists, the fact that some are in Iraq now is the fault of the Bush administration and has nothing to do with God's will.

So Palin thinks the soldiers are doing a mission for God.
It reminds me of the Blues Brothers. They too were on a mission from God.
Is there anything these Republicans will not equate to doing God's work.
I wonder if it is God's mission when they go on vacation or go to the store shopping or go to work every day.

Squirrel has, I think? admitted that war in religions' name - whatever religion it is - is non-relevant -- have I misunderstood you, Squirrel? How else would you defend Palin's pro-Christian response for our presence in Iraq?
Edited to add, I don't doubt that Palin is sincere but somewhat deluded by her strict adherence to conservative republican policies. She is willing to lay her child's life on the line - not the same with any republican who crafted the war. I'm not willing to let her passion lay my child's life at risk.

Thank you for your explanation, desquirrel. When you jump from raccoons to Hershey Kisses after I ask you a simple question, I find it difficult to understand you.
While I fully understand that the Islamic terrorists are a danger to all, fighting them with the belief that your god also has a plan and he got your leaders to lie to start a war with them, just doesn't make sense to me because both sides are fighting in the name of religion then.
Even though Hershey's Kisses taste kind of chalky and cheap, wouldn't that be more like extending an olive branch if they were used?
