I had a conversation the other day with a woman I know pretty well who it turns out gets all her news from the 700 Club, won't listen to any other source because they're all "ungodly".Good gawd.....

Here, I'll post a source for squirrel, since he's unwilling or unable.
Once upon a time, the Democratic Party was the party of the less intelligent and the Republican Party was the party of the more intelligent.
But today, the Democratic Party is the party of both the less intelligent and the more intelligent while the Republican Party is the party of the middle.

Having posted that, so what? Saying you are smarter because you're conservative or liberal is like saying you're less likely to lose your house to an earthquake because it's green, not beige. Any sort of correlation is absurd.

By the way, today's Gallup daily is a statistical tie. Looks like the Palin-McCain campaign's bump is slipping.

Gallup Daily: Presidential Contest Remains a Dead Heat September 16, 2008
The latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update shows the presidential race essentially tied, with John McCain holding just a slight one-point advantage over Barack Obama, 47% to 46%. The candidates have been in a statistical dead heat for each of the last five days.
Obama leads McCain by 2 points: Reuters poll
Democrat Barack Obama has a 2-point lead in the U.S. presidential race on Republican John McCain, whose choice of Sarah Palin as his running mate helped shore up support for both candidates, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

The polls are still virtually tied. One commentator on the morning news had a good point - the polls do NOT take first time voters in consideration nor those that have cell phones only instead of land lines. Many Obama supporters may not be reflected in the polls.

While statistically conservatives have higher IQ ratings, even the dumbest twit can't argue with Gallup's record.
You are correct... (about gallup) and Obama is in the lead, I would not even call it even, would you? LOL

PONDER OVER THIS-
Human faeces can contain significant B12. A study has shown that a group of Iranian vegans obtained adequate B12 from unwashed vegetables which had been fertilised with human manure. Faecal contamination of vegetables and other plant foods can make a significant contribution to dietary needs, particularly in areas where hygiene standards may be low. This may be responsible for the lack of aneamia due to B12 deficiency in vegan communities in developing countries.

I just finished reading in one of Anthony Bourdain's books, he refers to vegans as the "dietary Hezbollah".

I'm not quite sure how human feces and B12 crept into this thread- it will remain one the the more surprising postings for me . Back to topic. Current polls show Obama 50% to McCain 44% as voters realize the enormity of the economic melt-down resulting from McCain's party and stance and the fluff of a moose-hunting lipstick smearing evangelical who says "no thanks" to earmarked projects but takes the money anyway. Take into account the polls do not consider new voters which are overwhelmingly pro-Obama.
Edited to add: Hwa - did you mean to start a new thread? On some level I think you're probably right, feces and polls and all political carp are all connected in a cosmic sense but I can't trace the connection for the life of me.
