Yes, he won a great sarong...and he might win the caveman boots too. Barry(ooga booga)Barris will bonk one of us ladies on the head and drag us in his cave (where he keeps the southern comfort stash)

As you might imagine my RL often is a little crazy. Here are a few of the events over the past few days.
Friday. My housekeeper (two days a week) shows up with a cold, sneezing and hacking. I tell her to take the day off, I don't want to catch whatever it is that she has. This means I spent the weekend doing what she normally would have done.
Saturday. A friend comes to visit. This is a good friendship, more than 30 years. The friend ship is with his whole family. Mother, Father, brothers and sisters. His mother says she thinks of me as her son. I was the best man at his brothers wedding. He has made some BIG financial mistakes during the past year and now his bills are all past due. In the past 3 or 4 months I have paid $3200 if his bills trying to keep his family (there are kids) going. On the Saturday visit He handed me $1750 in bills and asked if would pay them. I have had to make some tuff decisions over this. Today I called his car loan company and told them to repossess his car, He can't afford the payments, and I can't either. His electricity was scheduled to be turned off tomorrow. I had to cut a deal with the electric company to keep his lights on (for another month anyway).
Sunday. My Mother. She is 75 and has a new hobby. She hits parked cars with her car and leaves the scene. Third one in three months. She has to get a new hobby. I call the police and her insurance company to try and fix things but so far no one she has hit has filed a complaint. I want her to stop driving, even told her I'll make arrangements with a car service to take her where she wants to go. But she says no. This is a problem.
Monday. Looking for a cat house..... Not what you may be thinking. Another friend is feeding an outside cat. They don't think the cat will survive winter with out some sort of shelter. They asked me to see what I could find. NEVER use a search engine to look up cat house, now I am trying dog house and hoping...
In addition to all this. A couple of my friends who all agree on the same candidates in this years election have decided to independently buy and distribute GoreGoods and HillaryStuff. We ordered a ton of stuff, yard signs, buttons, hats, shirts and so on. Some how I got the job coordinating the project.
About the pictures of me in the sarong... Soon... I promise. Waiting for the red hair to show up. The first hair that showed was wrong. It was not red. It was silver strands, like the Christmas tree stuff...
Oh God, Muriel, please no. I could not handle a baby. Besides, I like rabbits...

Barry, Barry, Barry. What to do, what to do. Well, first of all, with your friend who has fallen on hard times, maybe you should think about some "tough love"? JMO
Now, with regards to mom, I have experience here! I talked with my mom's doctor and had HIM tell her she could no longer drive. Then her keys disappeared. Imagine that! You may want to think about this before she not only kills herself, but kills or injures someone else. That's the big thing.
As for the cat house -- you're on your own. I'm not going there.
Why not take a couple of Tylenol P.M. and call it a night. You'll need the sleep before the baby gets here.

Tough love for your friend sounds like the right move at this time. You've already helped him financially he couldn't ask for a better friend. Now, you should just offer your moral support.
As for your mother, my mom is the same age and her driving also is getting bad and she is starting to get lost. I don't think either one of them should be driving but it's like their last freedom and they're going to fight giving up their independence and have to ask people to take them places.
What do you mean you're helping friends put up Gore signs? Your friends should be putting up your signs! Barry(for president)Barris.
So happy you're OK and back with us.

Things are not as bad as they may have sounded. It is almost normal in fact. I'm used to this kind of stuff. On the bright side, no one has been arrested, No one needed to be bailed out of jail, I didn't have to hire a lawyer and the were no injuries...
Being nutz helps also...

Barry (glad you're a cat lover) Barris: Go to Petsmart (www.petsmart.com) and, under Dogs | Shopping, look up house. The small Ruff Hauz or igloo is just right for a cat (we've had an igloo with optional pad for several years for our ferals). Both are available at Petsmart's brick stores as well, and the igloos can usually be found at Fred Meyers or KMart as well.
As to your Mom: You might want to consider what my sister did about my dad, who was doing the same thing (except the cars he was hitting were sometimes moving). She called the Driver's License Division and asked them to review the situation.
