Dang--where did the poems go? (Me--can't even remember a good joke so a poem to remember is way out of my league--but sure enjoyed them. Thanks all--so far.)

Hi Redhead,

I was glad I was able to do it, and hope you can get to the bottom of the entire horrible thing.

Since I'm writing to you, I'd like to take the opportunity to say that I advocated people sending you any information they might have on the person likely behind it. I never suggested, endorsed, or otherwise asked for publication of that information, while an investigation was going on. A couple folks on this thread have misconstrued both my words and intent with respect to my urging people give you whatever help they could--on a one-way basis--and I wanted to set the record straight.

- Pareau

krs,

As someone observed on another board in the last few days, I am no paragon of virtue. I've made mistakes. The thing is, I try to learn from them.

I hope that in the almost one year since then my demeanor towards you has somehow demonstrated that I saw beyond what happened and that I believe the resolution was the right one, as was your method of handling it.

This situation is a little different. In the case last November, there was no one running a separate board with one thread after another dedicated to destroying your reputation, for weeks on end. There was no one starting threads for the sole purpose of putting an evil spin on your most basic actions, such as editing your posts. There was no one creating crayon caricatures, entitling them "Evil krs" and posting them for sale on eBay.

For the most part, pareau has remained silent regarding these attacks, just as you did. But the accusations on you didn't last two months or more. They weren't renewed or refreshed with each passing week. If they had been, how would you have reacted? Maybe you would have reached a point where you finally broke your silence and started hitting back.

Only lately has pareau spoken out and done some counter-attacking of his/her own. It's unfortunate that pareau was driven to the point of counter attack. One of the most discouraging moments in this whole spectacle, IMHO, was the other night when you and pareau pointed the finger at each other in the wake of Victoria's attack. Here you were, the two of you, both victims of baseless accusations and whispered suspicions, doing it to each other.

I'm not detracting from the seriousness of what happened to you, krs. There are similarities between then and now. But there was nobody orchestrating or encouraging the accusations against you. Nobody reaping the benefits of readership and enjoying the long-term value of a prolonged controversy. Nobody had a reason to keep the accusations against you going.

I think that's an important difference this time around, and explains why these damnable rumors are being perpetuated needlessly.

Man, all this crap really sucks!

This is the kind of stuff that gives poetry a bad name.

=================================

Back on topic...

PRELUDE

So come, good men who toil and tire,
Who smoke and sip the kindly cup,
Ring round about the tavern fire
Ere yet you drink your liquor up;
And hear my simple songs of earth,
Of youth and truth and living things;
Of poverty and proper mirth,
Of rags and rich imaginings;
Of cock-a-hoop, blue-heavened days,
Of hearts elate and eager breath,
Of wonder, worship, pity, praise,
Of sorrow, sacrifice and death;
Of lusting laughter, passion, pain,
Of lights that lure and dreams that thrall...
And if a golden word I gain,
Oh, kindly folks, God save you all!
And if you shake your heads in blame...
Good friends, God love you all the same.

Last stanza - Prelude
from Ballads of a Bohemian

Well Spaz,
I've just been informed that a new series entitled "The Evil KRS" is in the offing by THE PROPRIATOR (you realize that he likes your new name for him, I hope).

No need for your insinuations, pareau. I said that. It was a statement that there ARE people out there (in the net) who would do such a thing made when it seemed that warnings of such were not being taken seriously.

Circumstantial, but not proof. The fact remains, anyone, could have done it. Could it be that someone from this board, or another board, be trying to frame Pareau?

I prefer to go with innocent untill proven guilty. Show me the proof.

If the truth is being sought, then some from the past must be brought forward to the light. Staysea had other things going on besides what she said about Pareau. She kept emailing me, and I kept refusing to answer. One of her emails said "my mission is done. I achieved what I went to AW for". Another one said something similar, but I cant remember exactly. Only after those letters were sent, and my refusing to answer, did she post about being stalked. I didnt tell pareau, although I wanted to, because I had no way of doing so. I couldnt post "hey pareau, I really need to talk to you", because Staysea would have seen it. So I told a few others here, whom I trusted with the info, that Staysea had "an ulterior motive" and it progressed to pareau and stalking. The people I told said to keep my mouth shut, so I did. I felt bad about it...but I didnt know what to do. So there, there is my truth. Staysea started off with "her mission complete" (whatever that meant) and ended with accusations of pareau.

Im sorry Pareau, that I didnt tell you. But I didnt know how. And frankly, it scared me what she was saying. She emailed many times. Then she started to email my friends, to get them to get me to answer. I still refused.

I dont know if that helps in this situation. It may or may not pertain. But I did want the other people here to know that Staysea did say "mission accomplished" (or words to that effect) BEFORE she accused pareau of stalking.

Thank you KRS.

I did not mean to jump on any one. But I felt a need to say some thing, in the hopes of letting things cool down a little...

corrdogg, per you and jeanyu's request -

I never knew a night so black
Light failed to follow on its track.

I never knew a storm so gray
It failed to have its clearing day.

I never knew such bleak despair
That there was not a rift, somewhere.

I never new an hour so drear
Love could not fill it full of cheer! John Kedrick Bangs

krs,

I'm sorry to have deleted your post. You posted personal information about another AuctionWatch member and it just isn't appropriate.

Everyone:

This entire thread is going nowhere and I don't see resolution on the horizon. I suggest you take these personal issues to email. This is a public board and this discussion is becoming far too personal.

I'm locking the thread.
