Some people DO overcharge but if you don't want to pay it, then don't bid on it. I always state my s/h charge in my descrip. and I do add in my materials, bubble wrap, boxes, padded env. etc. Most of the time I am very close to what I charge and sometimes I don't charge enough. It all works out in the end. Believe me those that don't want to pay extra will usually ask ahead about why it costs what it does. I, knock on wood, haven't had any complaints yet. I think if you try to be fair, people will appreciate it.

I thought of another thing. When I posted messages about bidders I have asked questions or posted something like "Have you ever had a bidder who asked for change???"
I did not say: "bidders who ask for change are scam artists."
Its just a suggestion when you want people to listen, try a different aproach. If you don't most people won't listen. Thats all I have to say on this...

Hmmmm.... Well, let's see. It could be that (a) it became dinnertime, (b) some people access the Internet from work and have left for the day, (c) some people actually have a life that doesn't revolve around sitting at the computer all day long arguing with people, or (d) a seller has yet to make a valid point on this thread. I'll let you guess which answer I personally think is the most likely....
And then there's answer (e): Some of us live on the East Coast and go to be early. Like me.
G'night!
Y'all play nice now, ya hear?

Wow godzillatemple! You got me there...
You still did not say anything about the points I made, you just say insults.
I am trying to work with people here and you come here and try and insult me? What a nice way to treat sellers who try and work with you. You wonder why some sellers on this thread are so hostile back to you...
Second, were not talking about just one post. I have seen several points made that were ignored and rude cocky responses like yours is the only responses back I see.

Hmmm, once again, an intellegent statement ignored because it did not say anything rude I guess it was not worth posting... There is no constructive critisism on this board. I have heard nothing but insults and excuses and no one seems to want to talk about things. The whole reason I started coming to this message forum was to make improvements but I see you can't here becasue no one wants to talk like adults. Sorry for even getting involved in this thread and message board. All your points are right and all sellers are wrong. Every single seller has the same exact circumestance and they are all ripping you off!

Hi digitalmaster,
Still here, but barely. Before I turn in for the night, just wanted to say that you do make sense. The wording of something can either provoke a fight or lead to a reasonable discussion.
Anyway, I also was fed up with all the bickering at one time. I swore off posting for awhile, still read the boards occasionally but not as often. It helped. I came back to posting.
Now I think it's time for me to take a break from these boards. When I do, I notice I tend to sell more stuff!!!!

Excuse me? What did I do? I said people should offer constructive critisism! Why the attack on me? This is what I'm talking about. Why do moderators do that. You ignore a 100 insulting posts and I say something about contructive critisism and I am told I wont be able to post here. I don't understand. I did not say anything out of line!

I really don't know what I did or said wrong. Other people are calling sellers scam artists and I did not say anything like that and I was threatend. This all started becasue I agreed with another poster on AW and now they are targeting everything I say and threatening to pull the plug on me. Really, what did I say insulting?

I buy more than I sell and as far as I am concerned I have only gotten ripped once on postage and the item. it was packed in one of those made in china "inner packs" very flimsy, was to small, item arrived broke, seller agreed to refund 50% as long as I paid return shipping and repacked..lesson learned. Anyway, as a buyer I don't look at shipping cost per say..I look at shipping cost as part of the cost of the item. If shipping is going to cost me $4.00 and the min. bid is $2.00-is it worth it to bid if I can buy the item new, have it instantly and only pay $10?
No, it isn't. However, if it is a one of a kind item I have been dying to have then I could care less what it cost to ship! I always request prioity shipping and insurance...I am like a kid at Christmas, just can't wait until the goods arrive! As a seller I usually get the short end of the stick. I "overpack" for saftey, always use a confirmation of delivery (which I don't always collect for) Yes I want to make money, but at the same time I want to simplify my life by getting rid of 25 years of collecting. House, barn, pump house is over run with things I haven't even looked at in years!
By the way, the Post Office no longer gaurntees ( I can't spell) delivery in 3 days for prioity mail. the last prioity mail package I got took 7 days!
