Hmmmmmm, Sounds like just another in a long list of left-wing-media ploys to me.

Damn it!!!!

Who has been saying any of us are in our right minds. It's not true...not a word of it...or we wouldn't be here at AW.

My vote is not going to junior.

**Disclaimer: If I appear arguementive, then I probably am just being a #*!@ today. It comes & goes. C.

Maybe I'll vote for him, he wears a nice bandana.....

Perhaps "Taxation without Representation" might have been cheaper.

Your question:

hmmm... do we have two liars now?

I think what we have is Bush's reliance on the validity of the hundred and some-odd page (144 I think) Rand report. Historically and supposedly a very reliable, non-biased source. His quotes of their findings were not something he pulled out of thin air or reconstructed to fit his own purpose. And, they're certainly not his only proof of progress in the Texas education system under his leadership.

OTOH, I do have to at least wonder about the motives and timing of the new 14 page rushed report put out by Mr. Klein who, btw was not involved in the research or work that resulted the in the more comprehensive and much more informative 144 page report. In reading his 14 page report I don't find a lot of changes in assessment - more like idle questions that he wasn't able to answer. According to one of the leading researchers of the original report, Dr. Grissmer, the group still stands behind the validity of their original report. And, according to Rand (at their web-site) these reports differ "in scope, focus, and data." In other words, apples to oranges.

No, I wouldn't call him a liar on that count. But, he does have two things that work against him. He's a politician and his lips move. Seems a given sometimes.

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

I'll be voting for Nader. I have long liked him, I admire his courageous stance on Israel, and I refuse to be responsible for either of the other two clowns being elected. I disapprove of political dynasties. If I had to pick one I would probably pick Gore, but only because I feel women's right to choose would be more secure with him. Other than that....eh. Wouldn't trust either one as far as I could throw them.

I'll be voting my conscience (Nader). I'm not voting out of "fear" this time around.

I'm curious as to why, if Bush had an admitted illegal drug problem, isn't he rotting in jail with all of the other Texas inmates currently rotting in jail for minor posession charges. Did he do time? No. Surely he was in posession of drugs.. hard to snort coke without posessing it, in my experience. So..why not? I bet those prisoners would like to know what makes him so special.

Just another thought to ponder.

This morning on Meet The Press, the latest polls show Bush leading Gore among likely voters by 8% in Tennessee, Gore's home state. These are the voters who (one would think) know Gore the best. This tells me something. Oh, I almost forgot. Gore isn't really from Tennessee. Most of his life was spent inside the Washington beltway. Sorry, my mistake...
