*pout*

No fair bragging, VeryModern. My bed buddy is gone this week...

You've got me curious now. I oughta go dig up my birth certificate(it's in the file cabinet somewhere) and see what's what.

I see by what you have posted on other threads that you are YOUNGER than me! How did you get to be so grown up??? Kids force you?
You know, that "can't be bossed" notion has been haunting me. I quit high=school cuz I found it unbearable, every 10 years or so I try some sort of further education and still feel like I'm jumping outa my skin,(being told what to do) and so quit. Honestly, the only thing I have successfully completed was 11 months in a recovery house and I got a certificate upon completion!!!

I did not use love@aol, I don't know what that is.

I found him in Digital City. Really he found me, but how could he have *not?* I used to put about 3-5 ads a week up, every man in the state wrote me. Hell, it was a cattle call. I was auditioning - and I had it down to a science. I kept thinking of all these cool screen names and I thought it was so funny I just had to take them out for a spin.

He had been online about 2 weeks and has not signed on since.
He be done, you know?
LOL!

Really - I have a superior man and everything horrible thing that has ever occurred in my life is totally worthwhile to end up here. EOM

I had an ad "on one & only" "match.com" "love @aol". I got LOTS of responses but no love connection.
Graham and I knew each other from my early days in Palo Alto, but we were together as a couple for only about 9 months.
Those ads made me WAY too self-concious, I despise dating in the first place, (if what I used to do qualifies as dating) and just can't force myself to pursue it, even tho I'm not too over-joyed with being alone.

dating = entertainment to me, I never in a million years expected to find a keeper.

I was doing like Cher - "havin' some fun with Mr. Wrong!"

So, I am "hard to kill" that be bery bery good. And the second part of my life will be more fulfilling YEEHAAA Cannot wait!!! What about love for me??? Am I *snif* snuffle* unlovable? Of course, it would help if I left the house other than to walk my dogs and shop, so far the UPS guy and the mail men don't seem to give me that little spark!

Even - I looked at your Venus and you have a challenge or two, but truly - I think minor. I will outline it and perhaps it will jar something loose for you.

Here is your deal.
Venus is in Gemini (there is the flirt) placed in the 6th house which is really not the best place to put her. See, the 6th house is Virgo which is where you get your "old spinster" language from. Does that sound Gemini to you? Uh.. NO. That is VIRGO.
Anyway, in the 6th house venus tends to be persnickety and perfectionist which is never good for love.

Now, please do not fret, because being Taurus (I mean DOUBLE Taurus) "love" is your first middle and last name, so you should be able to overcome this kind of tendency if you chose to.

When it is not being picky, this Venus tends to be incredibly self contained. A Virgo does not NEED, they meet other people's needs and so there is the problem, I am sure you relate. A person appearing to function so well, there is no door for anyone to get in.

Loop back to dble Taurus - and again, you can work with this if you choose.

OKAY - next problem is in the 7th house (Venus house / marriage / the partner).

First thing you have in there is Uranus which is highly non committal. So you go for these folks who can't / won't commit but the reaaaal reason you choose them is because it is YOU who does not want to commit. You fear you will be lost, and independence means a lot to you.

The answer to this one is to comprehend the concept of FREEDOM through COMMITMENT.
Just think about it.

Last, you have Mars in the 7th which means you do not want some wimp. It also means just forget about the Taurus myth of peaceful love, that would never do you in reality.

Again, the answer to this is Scorpio, and like I said, a spot of Virgo would help a lot too. I do believe with a Scorpio you would become the tycoon you are meant to be, but you're gonna have to give it up in every way you can think of because Scorpio doesn't do half-mast.
You would have to sacrifice some control in order to be penetrated and enfused with energy, and I am not especially meaning that in a sexual way, but in an *every* way.

there.
You have your homework.

Well. I just checked my birth certificate and there's no time listed.*hmph* It appears that the county was more interested in my parents' race than in what time I was born.

So-12 Feb 1956 is all I can give you(unless you need the where, too.)

My late grandmother was very much a devotee of astrology and did a chart for me when I was born. It was mentioned to me a few times in my youth but I was never given any of the details. She and my parents were always very tight-lipped about it. Consequently I've always been curious about what it may have indicated.

I don't see much logic in astrology and very rarely look at the daily forecasts in the newspaper. I am, however, still at a loss to explain the mystery surrounding my grandmother's chart. Did it forebode something unspeakable, or what?

Can you shed some light on this VeryModern?

I can deal with it, BTW.

Xardon I highly recommend the book that VeryModern mentioned - "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need." You can usually find in on half.com at a great price. I've read several and this is by far the easiest to grasp. It's fascinating and logical - I'm still waiting for VeryModern to publish her first book.... And I want an author signed copy pleeeeeeaase!

Not paranoid anywhere else but here!

Junque - can you believe this?

xardon - of course it's not bad, are you serious?

Shadowcat - I am sorry, I can't do much with this info. You are possibly a double Aquarius (Sun and Moon) - if born in the afternoon the moon moved to Pisces.
Venus and Mars in fire and well aspected, can't complain about that.

Rats. I don't know if I was born in the ayem or pea-em and the only person who might know is my father(and if he can't even remember my friggin' birthday, I sincerely doubt he has a clue to the time of my birth).

I know where I was born-Sioux City, IA-if that's any help.

Oh well. Guess I'll have to remain curious. Thanks anyway.

I'm surprised too! Not to mention horrifyed they aren't out there clammoring away to be with me, bastards! However...I think it has to do with from the time I got the braces off at age 14, men have instantly and constantly done that creepy leery/leechy (how do you spell lecherous) thing with me. I didn't understand what it was so I put out a very intense "back-off_ vibe. Guess it has worked too well... sigh!

Junque - re: xardon, I forgot..
Pluto is square the Scorpio Sun.
Just want it on record..

Xardon, you are a major major Plutonian. I do not know why your Grandmother / your parents conspired to keep quiet. The reason would have to do with their character not yours.

I will say that it is exceedingly rare to see this much Scorpio in a chart. Interest in astrology spans all 12 signs, but many who study are Aquarians, who are basically scared sh**less of Scorpios. It is possible if they were airy intellectual types that they were very simply overwhelmed. You ought to go to an astrology seminar or something, and then you would see. The room is full of AIR signs and then a Scorpio or 2 standing along the back wall scanning.

Scorpios love being Scorpio but they are very horribly maligned in astrology (along with Capricorn). My point here is that the astrologer has a perspective. Some signs I am more comfortable talking with, or about and it is possible that your grandmother was out of her comfort zone looking at your chart. My son's chart is like this to me. I can barely comment on it because when I look at it all I can see is a blur. I cannot explain it. I suspect that your situation is something similar. As an interpreter of these symbols, on occasion one just stops you cold, and this does not mean there is something awful in the chart, not even close.

The thing with astrology is that it is just a map of energy and energy can be channeled for good or ill. Anyone who does this with any degrees of expertise will tell you that no one is counted out because of an aspect or configuration in their chart. Real simply, it just doesn't work that way.
