Stopwhinning we agree sometimes and disagree others. I can hide all the money I want and it wouldn't be with paypal. It also wouldn't relieve me of my child support payments. Paypal wants you to think their SO pure QUOTE no mlm"s etc but pedophiles can use paypal to further their fetishes. WOW

Why use paypal when you can use "bidpay". I tried pay pal for a week. What a mess this company is. I could not get at my money. Fortunately I did not send anything to any customers. I wrote them twice and told the to ^&*%*% off.
I have no association with bidpay (a western union company), except as a VERY satisfied 2 1/2 year user. The only hitch is bidpay charges $5.00 per transaction on the credit card to the buyer. As with my business, the only alternative is a money order, it is easy to spend $5.00 worth of fee's, gas and time, and it can still get lost in the mail.
Bidpay sends your a check throught the mail 3-4 days after the person arranges payment through the credit card. I have never had any problems because I do not ship until I have the bidpay check in hand. I have never had one stopped payment in over 1000 transactions.

most ebay bidders do not want to pay $5.00 to use bidpay, why should they??
with intl bidders, seller can insist on bidpay as they get no protection under either
billpoint or paypal, with domestic bidders,it wont work especially if they are small ticket items

You could also look at either CCNow or Online Data Corp. Online Data Corp does not require a merchant account and payouts are as quick as paypal. Plus you get the control of card number on when you process the card or not.

Yea, most people do not want to pay $5.00 for transactions, in which case I take personal checks, money orders (90cents) but it beats giving paypal a chance at ripping me off for several 100 dollars or worse!
I do ebay for the fun and to clean out a basement of 30 years of owning a former hobby store. I have seen about any scam or bad company there is during that time.
After reading aboaut and following paypal, and then having problems with them myself, I see BIG BIG BIG RED FLAGS everywhere with them.
Again. bidpay does me just fine. I do not do ebay for a living, but I still maintain a power sellers position not accepting credit cards directly, or C2it or paypal. I am sure it cost me is sales not to accept paypal, but then again, I STILL think I am better off!

usps also has a payment system where you open an account with them, link it up to your bank account and when you buy something, you instruct them to send money to your seller, payment is not released until the item delivery confirmation is swiped at your post office location.
fair enough, unfortunately not many people know or use it,which comes back to IT TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY,and paypal sure spent a lot in promoting its service.
the problem is not paypal,it is the folks who use the service.
by the way,you can get a money order for like 55 cents at supermarket.

Dealerjim, generally licenses cost money so they probably had to pay the state of Louisiana money to get that license. This doesn't mean they're "paying someone off" to get that license.

I just assumed that since PrayPal is such a shady operation that they must pay off the right people to get any kind of license.
