The motto of the Marine Corps is Semper Fidelis, Latin for "always faithful" .Until 1871 it was "First to Fight", a motto that still applies. Through the years, Marines have shortened it to Semper Fi, and "Semper Fi, Mac" is the universal Marine Greeting.

I wasn't too sure about the meaning so I looked it up on Google search. So now I know.

I have a gold bracelet that I got years ago that a fellow wore in Vietnam and it has the Marine Corps emblem with the eagle on the globe and the anchor.

It has his name engraved on it and I was wondering if he may want it back again. I should maybe try to find him on the internet some day.

This fellow made it back from Vietnam okay but he gave the bracelet away one night. I was just wondering if he wanted it again or if maybe he has children that may want it. I'm not sure how to go about it.

I do know for sure that he made it home safely, you can trust me on that. I will do some research and see what I can find.

Yes, it is always the best to learn from the past and look to the future.

Take care.

Hmmm....Dean Martin never did anything for me but I like the Stones.

And since it's still Tuesday on the west coast we'll play this one:

She would never say where she came from
Yesterday don't matter when it's gone
While the sun is bright
Or in the darkest night
No one knows
She comes and goes

Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you smile with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...

Don't question why she needs to be so free
She'll tell you it's the only way to be
She just can't be chained
To a life where nothing's gained
And nothing's lost
At such a cost

There's no time to lose, I heard her say
Catch your dreams before they slip away
Dying all the time
Lose your dreams
And you will lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?

Goodbye, Ruby Tuesday
Who could hang a name on you?
When you smile with every new day
Still I'm gonna miss you...
----------------------------------------

Have a great day tomorrow, Jack.

Can't think of a song with Wednesday lyrics so grabbed this off the net.

Ash Wednesday

Daddy's on the back porch playing with a blowtorch
Standing by the front door, Avon ladies for the poor
Meanwhile Mama smiles, "Get your lover down the aisle
Before he's gone"

Ring around the rosy, a pocket full of posy
Ashes ashes, we all fall down

Fats domino had a few lines about Wednesday

Blue Monday how I hate Blue Monday
Got to work like a slave all day
Here come Tuesday, oh hard Tuesday
I'm so tired got no time to play
Here come Wednesday, I'm beat to my socks
My gal calls, got to tell her that I'm out
'Cause Thursday is a hard workin' day
And Friday I get my pay
Saturday mornin', oh Saturday mornin'
All my tiredness has gone away
Got my money and my honey
And I'm out on the stand to play

LoL

Silently closing her bedroom door
Leaving the note that she hoped would say more
She goes downstairs to the kitchen clutching her handkerchief
Quietly turning the backdoor key
Stepping outside she is free

She (We gave her most of our lives)
is leaving (Sacrificed most of our lives)
home (We gave her everything money could buy)
She's leaving home after living alone
For so many years. Bye, bye

Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing gown

Picks up the letter that's lying there
Standing alone at the top of the stairs
She breaks down and cries to her husband
Daddy, our baby's gone

Why could she treat us so thoughtlessly
Why could she do this to me

She (We never thought for ourselves)
is leaving (Never a thought for ourselves)
home (We struggled hard all our lives to get by)
She's leaving home after living alone
For so many years. Bye, bye

Friday morning at nine o'clock she is far away
Waiting to keep the appointment she made
Meeting a man from the motor trade

She (What did we do was wrong)
is having (We didn't know it was wrong)
fun (Fun is the one thing that money can't buy)

Something inside was always denied
For so many years. Bye, bye
She's leaving home bye, bye
