I have dealt with PayPal customer service
several times and each time has been pleasant
and my concerns were addressed.

I have dealt with eBay customer service
more times than I can count and each time
has been like pulling teeth with a pair of
tweezers. They are rude, unfair, arrogant,
non-responsive, moronic, and rude (yes again).
Okay, once one of them was polite. I am sick
of form messages that don't have anything to
do with my concern!!! They have removed one
item that I listed (the only one, so far)
and the reason they gave was beyond belief
(they said that a Japanese Anime movie should
have been listed in the Adult movie section).
I watched that movie and it was NOT porno.
There was no reasoning with them and when I
pointed out that there were over 200 of either
the same or related item (book, different
format of movie, etc.) they said I would have
to file a complain against each item!!! Can
you imagine sitting there and filing 200+
complaints because of eBay's incorrect claim.
They said they were protecting children by
removing my item. Then why not remove all
the other ones as well? My movie CD copy
(custom PC format, original store bought
copy, not pirate) is harmful, but Joe's copy
isn't? Nor Phil's VHS version? Nor Joan's
DVD version? Nor Sam's comic book version?
They weren't listed in the Adult section!!!

The less I deal with eBay customer service
the better. Sorry about the rant. To get
back on topic, if eBay buys PayPal, I'm
leaving PayPal. I refuse to use Billpoint
because of my other problems with eBay, and
I will find another on-line payment service
before I'll use "eBay's PayPal"!

So, which other services would you folks
recommend? I currently use PayPal and BidPay.
Thank you.

zathras, be glad this didn't happen to you on Yahoo. Yahoo would have permantely suspended you without warning and stopped all your auctions even with bids, at least ebay just pulled your one auction. That's what happened to me on Yahoo.

"i am merely refering to the customer service aspect of paypal which personally i find a complete joke.....i was in no way refering to the issue of what would happen with fees."

EBay's Cuatomer serice is no better, and is arguably worse than Paypal's
