It be nice if the new posters that come in to AW message board would contribute valuable information, helpful hints and be an asset to this board. This is a great place to come for information. I have learned a lot from everyone here and I hope it continues. Thanks all.

This is not a very nice thread, neither informative or informational, nor does it contribute the health and well being of AW. Or EO for that matter.

Shouldn't be here

edit was to correct a spelling error...

I must be reading Libra63's message differently because I thought she was welcoming input from newbies.

What's EQ? I thought this was EO.

I thought she was at least partially referring to the Paypal Fraud thread that was only the AW third post of the thread originator.

twelvpole; I really wonder what you have been reading. I have learned a great deal on this thread. I do find that there are a few that just want to blow off steam, well thats ok too. After all that is what makes this the greatest nation on earth; the right to speak your mind. Look at "help Stamp Appraisal" See what I mean about learning.

That's O.K. There....twelvepole!

It's obvious you don't agree with much said here, But that's your right!

And it's also obvious that you keep abreast of things being said here.

You didn't miss this one chance to jump in and say something!

Well: Now that you entered the circle,if you have something say don't be a stranger!

But twelvepole has been around forever and a day and isn't a newbie. Now I'm even more confused.....

kiara:

I'm not aware of who they are, and the fact that they've been around!

Thought they were lurking in the background and this brought them out!

If we present a negative to them, maybe they should find another board! There are lots out there. They're bound to find some place they like being!

Oh Well!

dadofstickboy,

If you click on the ID you will see when the person joined and how many posts they have made. Twelvepole has been around awhile.

But, because so many left and came back after the authorized CC day there are many with different names and may have been around even longer.

I thought Libra was complimenting the boards too.

aposter:

Thanks for the info!

Who said we don't help each other learn?

It looks like twelvepole has been here before me,and has posted quite a few times.

It also appears they aren't happy here anymore, so they should move on!

Or since they have added nothing since their initial comment, they are just sitting back and watching the responce.

This will be my last responce to this thread: Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me!

I agree with aposter. Click on my user name and you would think I was a newbie. But I actually got a new one since my old one was the same as my eBay I.D. Member since '99.

dadofstickboy,
the two posters above your first post were here long before you, and have posted more.
Now who should move on?

I'm sort of new to these AW boards but have been selling antiques on ebay for about 5 years ... I definitely peek in on the message board at least every other day, just to truly "enjoy" reading all of you Regulars' postings ... for the most part, you seem to be ... ummm ... "one big Happy Family" ... [not always, but mostly] ... JACKSWEBB, thanks again for pushin' ebay's buttons and getting that zip code up there ... it has saved us a lot of time already! [and time is money]

Edited to add: Lurking is an option.

I have been surfing this board for a little under a year and even though I don't think I have ever posted I have learned ALOT from you guys posts. It can be very educational and at times amusing! So keep posting as it helps many people. On a similar note I also would like to thank JACKSWEBB. The solution to the Zip code dilemma is great and helps tremendously.

Many new members come here seeking answers, and may not have enough experience to provide help, and that is completely all right. It may also take a while for them to form opinions on certain subjects.

But we do need more posters because this board has dried up quite a bit and we need to keep it lively.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

"It be nice if the new posters that come in to AW message board would contribute valuable information, helpful hints and be an asset to this board."

I think the word "would" is missing and by adding the word "if" makes this sound very condescending and demeaning. Just because you don't like somone's topic, doesn't mean it can't be used as helpful hint. If someone won't use paypal because of that topic, then it has been helpful.

Now if this would of been posted:

It is nice that new posters come in to AW message boards and contribute valuable information, helpful hints and be an asset to this board.

That is saying something nice.

... and is actually welcoming them to the boards.

twelvepole. Thanks for your imput. But sometimes I am not politically correct in my wordage and yes I agree if new posters would come and post valuable information, but we seem to get alot of new ones coming in and complaining about a certain topic, which I do not want to mention. A lot is due to the posters error and not the website so why come in here and do that if you haven't been here before. I guess I don't understand. there is a place for that down below and I know for one that I do go their often to read the delimas that people have, but lot caused by their own carelessness.

You oughtta see the UseNet. It's like the Wild West in comparision to very tame AW Message Center.

I tried to go their last night but the discussion boards were down. When I had my webtv I was always in there but now I find it hard to view with this computer. When you view usenet with the web the discussion board has only the discussion part, you don't have to click each one with this computer it is more difficult. Maybe it has changed as I haven't been there is so long, but now I am waiting for it to come back up and I hope it is more computer friendly.
