6 steps to earning over $30,000 in your spare time on ebay this year.

1. Go to the dollar store and get some stuff you would like to have.

2. List it on ebay for 0.99 and make sure you state in the description that the shipping/handling fee is $7.95

3. Find the items that sell the best

4. List 20 items a day (note Ebay doesnt let you sell the same item more than 10 times simultaneously so you need 10 or so dif products to sell)

5. 20 items X 350 days in a year - roughly (dont let things close on holidays)
= 7000 items.

7.95 + .99 = 8.94
now subtract
listing fees - 0.65
paypal fee - 0.65
auction watch 0.20
shipping avg 2.50
packaging avg .40

Profit = $4.54 per item

$4.54 X 7000 items = $31,780

Now some of those items will not sell and some of them will go for more than 0.99

6. so that is how to make 30K a year on ebay - estimated time - 15 hours a week.

PS. For all of you who dont like the $7.95 shipping/handling charge - I dont care. $4.54 profit is not much on any item. Let the ppl drive to their own dollar store if they want to avoid handling fees.

Ok so I only work about 3 hrs week and I get roughly 1/5 the income I am suggesting because I have another job, but just multiply the effort to get the result you want. You want to make $100,000 a year - list 75 items a day. That will be a full time job of course.

I am looking for other ways to make money on ebay but so far this is the only thing that works for me.

If anyone has some other great ideas I would appreciate it.

1. Go to Office Depot and buy 10 of their cheapest paper shredders.

2. Go through a few phone books and look for a listing for someone named Arthur Anderson.

3. Write " Certified" on each of the shredders with a permanent marker.

4. Pay the guy named Arthur Anderson $5.00 for each one he autographs with the permanent marker.

5. List the shredders, one at a time on Ebay.

There are thousands of Federal, State, County and local politicians who would pay big money for a shredder certified by Arthur Anderson.

6. After the auctions end, sit back and wait for the money to arrive in the mail.(be sure to get a money order if the buyer is a politician)

7. Call Brinks to pick up your bank deposit.

The light at the end of the tunnel will turn out to be an oncoming train.

JACK: I was just curious if you have heard back from the winning bidder on your first $7.95 postage hit yet? Are they complaining about the S/H being high?

No one has complained for my $7.95 shipping/handling charge yet - even when it was 1 cd that took 57 cents to make it there first class.

However - I did say $25 s/h for 25 DVD's the person complained but when I pointed out that this was on the 3rd line of the auction ad and that they had clearly read it before bidding they paid up.

toben88,
you need to check your math-
7.95 + .99 = 8.94
now subtract
listing fees - 0.65
paypal fee - 0.65
auction watch 0.20
shipping avg 2.50
packaging avg .40

Profit = $4.54 per item
//////////////////////////////////////////
you need to substract the cost of goods sold,whatever you pay for the item at the dollar store.
does the listing fee include final value fee?
final value fee on a 99 cents item is 0.0495 cent.

Don't listen to all these greedy seller. Know one is going to give you what they think is their big secret. I have found that it takes a lot and I mean lot of research you have to find the very lowest prices. I myself have found that to manufacture your own products is by for the best way to go. But then you have to find that good source of supply for materials. At this point in the game the is no good way to go the no one is spending. So just hang in there and don't give up.

Ok don't listen to the greedy sellers, listen to the one's who are barely scraping by because they think it's immoral to charge a handling fee! LOL.

Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

No, quickdraw, listen to the ones who only list a couple of items a week on eBay.

They're the ones with the real Secrets of the Universe.

There are no unprofitable items. There are only incompetent sellers.

Everything can be sold for a profit, it's just a matter of technique and know-how.
