It's unfortunate that we don't know exactly how many looky-loos there are on eBay. I suspect it's quite a high number since it's so common in the general population.

For some people, the idea that there is all this STUFF!!!! out there that they maybe *could* get if they wanted to...well, it fills a void in their lives.

It's like the hobby my partner has: going into high-end video stores and browsing all the big-bucks TVs. If it doesn't cost at least five figures, it's not worth looking at. He has no qualms at all about pestering the salespeople for information. He has no intention of EVER buying. He's way too cheap for that. But this being Silicon Valley, you can't be sure that that jeans and t-shirt wearer isn't worth $100 million, so everyone is attentive to him, at least initially. My ex-husband used to do the exact same thing at new car dealerships.

I state the exact dollar amount of shipping in all my auctions and I still get "How much is shipping to...?" questions. If I don't answer one, I don't lose any sleep over it.

Kiara,
yeah, that is a peeve of mine, too, especially when I am working on a custom order and we are discussing details. The details work on top of each other, if you know what I mean, and I like to have everything in one easy-to-find and-refer-to email. And who knows who will be serious about their inquiry, and should have a folder all to themself? not me!

I always list my zip in my description along with the weight I will be shipping plus the post office web site. On lighter stuff I list the shipping cost. This way I get very few HOW MUCH questions. The few questions I do get I have a copy and paste note saying Please read my description.
