Since we have hashed and rehashed the subject of sales being off, why don't we talk about grammar.
.
.By the way, the bidders is not all gone. In fact, as most know, there are more bidders now than last year. The reason sales are down for some is because there are also more sellers. It's simply a matter of supply and demand.

.
.What we should be concentrating on is ways to increase our sales. Somebody is getting those bids....why not us?

.
.There are many things that one can do to increase your sell through rate, profits, sales, etc. Marketing is vital, and a part of marketing is improving the description. One way is using reasonably correct grammar. I say that if I am looking at 2 auctions, and everything else is equal...price, feedback, shipping, etc., I would rather buy from the seller that in the description states that "they ARE selling a widget" over the seller that states that "they IS selling a widget". I don't look for perfection in grammar in auction descriptions, but I ask all on this board. Would you buy if the auction description said,"I IS selling this widget".

many ebay bidders are veteran bidders or war horses, they know what is good and what is a deal.
bad english, typo error dont deter them from bidding on interesting and unusual items.
take this-
me old aunt leave real real tiffany dragonfly lamp to me,me have no use the lamp,me think you like like this metal lamp.
manhatten dealer man told real lamp, nice lamp me no like, take lamp away from me.
dealer man told reserve set 100000,me say okay boss.

Personally I am finding that plenty of people are looking at my auctions, maybe more that usual, but no-one is bidding.

In the last two weeks I have had more end with BIN than with bids.

But neither are doing all too well!

to pointy>>"awful semi-illiterate"
Ahem...excuse me...is there less-awful illiterate? Reasonably awful illiterate? awful-some illiterate? Awfullest illiterate? Most awful illiterate? Un-awful illiterate? To which of the "awful" illiteracy do you NOT subscribe to? Or could it be that you are just plain ole illiterate rather than not being "awful" illiterate?? Just an illiterate muse.. of thought ...as in connundrum, not as in general stereotyping with personal direction toward you.. ,of course (naught!)

oh boy........it was an allusion to the way awful was misused in the original post. But, as I admit, I'm far from perfect. Just barely literate actually. You is far smarter and much funnier than I. For surely.
.
.kiddo....since you've taken the time to lamely attempt to belittle my verbage, can we take this as a vote that you would buy in the auction from the seller who "ARE selling a widget"?
