manyretailers deposit cash of the day in night deposit box as by the time they close shop and come to the bank, the lobby is already closed.
there are 2 persons counting cash in the morning,if there is much complaint,i think those clerks would have a problem with the bank.

I used to be a manager for a store in a mall. We would make our nightly deposits in the box at a branch located inside the mall.
1-2 times a week, they would say we counted the deposit wrong. It was always $50-$100 less than what we deposited. Each night 3-5 differnt people would count the money twice, before I or another manager would do the deposit slips.
We complained and the bank did nothing. Eventually the headquarters had us bank elsewhere. The problem stopped. After speaking with employees of other stores that used that branch, nearly all of them said their stores had problems with night deposits.
The branch was closed a little later. I was told it was do to accounting irregularities and customer complaints.
To this day, I will not use the night deposit box at any bank.

you know who has the best security measures?/THE CASINOS.
the cash is hauled to a special room and the video cameras are all around the room and workers are searched before and after leaving the room.
