We could use that weather here in Ohio, too. So far it feels more like November than June!

Perfume bottle sold for $122+; Coin Holder for $113+ and the compact for $37+. Not bad for an investment of under $20. Too bad I can't find this stuff all the time. Flea market was a bust yesterday. Looked like rain so most sellers stayed away. Hopeful for today.

Nice finds you guys! ... at that town-wide garage sale day yesterday, i only ended up spending around 100 on smalls and a couple quilts, but left an offer at one place, for 4 pairs of leaded bevel glass old windows ...

most of the "yards" and garages [and barns], were hilly and located like 3 to 5 hundreet FEET away from the street, where we'd have to park, so we really had to do a lot more walking, ergo, covering less ground than we usually can do in a day in my city, where we all have houses on small lots, all right next to each other. ........ oh well... maybe next week.

I bought 500 McDonalds toys still in packages for $40.00 and a bunch of videos from a video store that went out of business. All we are getting is rain here in Kentucky so the Flea Market isn't doing much, and you need a good boat to get to the yardsales.

I'm so happy I can't stand it!!! On Saturday my husband and I were taking a short trip to Kentucky. I spotted a VERY SMALL sign by the side of the road that said 'ANTIQUES". I had him pull in because every once in a while a really good find can be had in the hidden areas that most people don't frequent. I'm looking through mostly junk when I come across an oil painting behind a pie safe. I asked if it was for sale and where it had come from. The gentleman told me it had come from an older lady who had passed away and left the painting to him and he didn't care for it. I bought it for $45.00.

Here's the good part...

The painting is an original oil on canvas of Thomas Kincades' Julianas Cottage. Framed and signed.

It is now hanging in my home office along with several other Kincades' I have been fortunate enough to get my hands on.

I must be living right!!!!

Can't believe last weekend was a wash out..again! will there ever be a sunny Saturday here on the east coast? I woke up early Saturday morning (6 am) ready to go...and GO we did. I could'nt take the rain anymore, so we packed up and went down to the shore for the weekend. Rained there too on Saturday, but atleast there was different scenery! LOL! Sunday was BEAUTIFUL and we just happened by a Strawberry festival where there was a big flea Market going on. I SHOPPED!! I bought some wonderful old 1930s-40s Kitchen linens...including a mint condition Strawberries print tablecloth with matching runner and 2 dishtowels, all for $10.00! and I found 2 volumes of childrens nursery rhymes books from the series " Nursery tales from other lands". I found the French and German editions. They are oversized books, with page after page of gorgeous illustrations. I love old linens and old books...hmmmm...what old things don't I love? haha! OK, Come on...I'm holding out for a sunny Saturday this weekend!! had a great week of sales BTW...even had a few classic "ebay moments" where the bidding really jumped in the last hours. SUPER!

Can't believe my good sales on Sunday night! Almost all of them are to midwesterners, who, I hear, are having horrid weather and must be indoors browsing on ebay.

Bought a large cookbook for 50 cents; listed it on Half.com for $49.90 (asking prices there were 40 - 90!), sold it overnight.

Roadsmith you are right, Here in the upper midwest our weather wasn't good. We had a few nice hours on Saturday afternoon but the rest was a wash. Yes it rained. What's new. I wonder if ihula's garage sale was semi rained out. I hope not for her sake.

half.com has been very good for me too. Lately, I have been averaging about 50 items sold per day. It's been difficult keeping up with all the extra packing, but I am not really complaining. Good stuff too, and item that I recently paid $3 for in a garage sale sold for $100, and an item I paid $1 for at Goodwill sold 2 days later for $40...

Yeah, we kind of got rained out. It didn't really rain until the afternoon - Friday was worse. We made about $200.00 for the whole weekend. Not much traffic at all. My mom brought over some 1920's-50's National Geographic Magazines that she found in her attic, so I took them apart for the ads and plan to list them tonight. Hopefully they will go ok.

Back to listing - see ya'all later. Oh, and the surgeon called - I have surgery on my back scheduled for July 9th - yeah! I can't wait to get back to "hulaing". Sit too long in a computer chair (the only comfortable chair in the house) and your backside starts to s-p-r-e-a-d.
