Shops - my bad - I guess I found her response to the PR based bidding so incredibly and offensively rude that I glossed over that.

If I might make a suggestion, perhaps you should state in your auctions that due to an agreement with your supplier you regret that you are unable to sell to International bidders including those from Puerto Rico and Guam.

This would better explain the situation since most bidders from PR do not consider themselves international bidders.

I realise that someone will say that they should not have to but I guess the real question is...is your mission to be right, or to find the most efficient way to run your business?

Apparently, you guys aren't getting it. Soshoeme wrote that she is only ALLOWED to sell her products in the 50 United States. That's a condition that's placed on her by the supplier of her products. It doesn't matter that PR is a US territory, or that there are no customs fees, or that shipping is the same. A manufacturer or distributor has every right to specify where and how their products will be sold. Selling in prohibited countries or geographical areas could upset all sorts of supplier/distributor/retailer relationships and would no doubt get soshoeme booted in a heartbeat if her supplier found out. Why should she jeopardize her relationship with her supplier by breaking the terms of her contract for some stranger in PR that's trying to get around the rules?

My auctions say something very similar. They are just ignoring it and that is why I am so steamed.

Would it ever. This supplier is very strict. Several merchants have lost their ability to buy from them due to violating the agreement.

Obviously, I read your post incorrectly!

But, as with most negative statements in a TOS, it's just important HOW you say it as what ye say!

Remembering that PR's are American citizens, ye might want to throw the onus on yer distributer by saying something like:

"Due to contractual agreements, shipping is to the 50 U.S. States ONLY!

I am PROHIBITED from shipping this item to the District of Columbia, any US Possessions & Territories (including Puerto Rico & The U.S. Virgin Islands), or APO/FPO/Military Mail Addresses! Thank You for your cooperation!"
