Mostly they are Asians but they're not all playing the same multi-player game. There's about six available, I think.

Milpitas and environs are pretty heavily Asian anyway.

AA, I did not realize you were in Northern California. You'd have seen me at the CyberCafe yesterday.

Two internet cafe's made of a go of it here and closed down within three months. I dont think they could generate enough advertising or interest. I went there once when my computer bombed and I needed to get online and it was after library hours.

I hardly ever read peoples ME pages. I didnt know you could set TOS in there and not in the actual per auction itself??

WOW! How could they make you abide by that if you didnt read their ME page?

The game the kids were all playing was named Counter-Strike. I think the cafe will go bust as the kids will get tired of it. The only advantage I can see is a fast internet connection that they may not have at home. The Van's skateboard park may draw a few of them in but most must live near the mall. My kid went to school mostly in Milpitas and I always thought of the United Nations as there are people from all around the world in that city and few caucasins. I can see why the seperation of church and state is so important in the constitution as we shouldn't force Christianity on these Asian and other foreign-born citizens. I probably ruffled a few feathers.

dcpent, they might just scroll these boards themselves and took your auctions down from seeing it here, instead of somebody reporting you? You will never know how it went down anyway, but good luck with your new auctions. I hope you put teddybear in the title or description somewhere!

Maybe the $9.95 starting price will draw some bidders better than the one cent starting bid. Some items on ebay just can't be given away these days on rbay so don't be surprised to see no bids on this try either.

I would definitely urge folks to follow the lead of the people in that article and trot over to l**********.com to buy wholesale lots.

Especially the jewelry lots...

The salient points of the article are things like Increasingly, Internet surplus sales are attracting individuals who want a home-based business to supplement their income.

More and more ebay sellers are pursuing and buying closeout inventories. Demand begets higher prices for the wholesale sellers of closeout goods. Many of the buyers of abandoned storage locker goods now no longer go to those sales as the demand for the locker goods has increased and so has the prices of the locker contents and the profits have decreased.
