That's another thing that bugs me! Why doesn't AW have a spell checker?

Leave Meya alone. From what I can see she hasn't done anything to harm or offend anyone.
Helen,
Go peddle your venom elsewhere. Do you contribute anything to these boards besides nasty little comments?

Hey Helen, get a grip. I deleted the url because I closed the chat room.
Who are you anyway and what is your problem? There is no group, hidden or public, that I am part of. References made by others in this thread are a mystery to me, because I have no contact with anyone outside of the boards here on AW. I am 99% in the dark about any other places that folks here may read or post to, because I've never seen them.
If they cared to, the rest of the members here can support what I say. I don't email anyone from here, and aside from the two pictures I put up for two posters yesterday, I have no contact with anyone.
You Helen are a troll and a troublemaker.
I'll take my informal warning now please.

Ahem!
Please address the topic, not the individual.
TFYC. (I've typed it so many times, I just decided to use an acronym. I'm sure you all know what it means.)

If you're addressing me, krs, you're way off the mark. Most of my posting activities of late have been restricted to the eBay Outlook, discussing business-related topics. Mostly because what I've seen in RT in the past couple months turns my stomach.

Yes, Spaz, I was refering to you, and I don't think that I'm "off the mark" at all. 'Of late' is meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

Meya, Spaz
I'm really not a troll or a troublemaker.
I have no venom to use here or elsewhere.
I simply disagree with the practice of advertising
your private chat room on Auction Watch. It's my opinion that
this is a rude practice.
But, maybe if you are going to attack me on Auction Watch,
it would be better if you go elsewhere to do it.

Since you started the attack here on AW, why not finish it here.
I don't have a private chat room. I opened a temporary chat for the folks here to use if they wanted. It was made public and available for anyone. It was not passworded or secured in any way.
You threw the first punch, totally unprovoked. You read between the lines and came up with a fantasy.
Back off.

I didn't go to the chat room because I had too many errands to run today, but it looked like an open invitation to anyone who wanted to come. I don't understand why it would upset anybody.

WHOA!
Knock it off now. There are several personal and insulting comments on this thread. If this thread continues down that path, I will go back and reread from the beginning and issue formal moderations. This is a nudge, but please don't mistake it for a gentle one.
TFYC means "thanks for your cooperation."

Meya, I saw your note this a.m. but was running out the door. I didn't see a thing wrong with it. IMO it was a nice invitation OPEN TO ANYONE.
KRS - quit eggin Helen on - it's not pretty.

Meya,
I'm not sure what happened here other than several things going on at once, including a post made elsewhere and a little bit of dejavu thrown in the pot.
I didn't see your suggestion for a chat room to be anymore than it was...a real time chat, with no evil intended. I've never gotten the impression to think otherwise.
As to whether it was within AW's CGs is not for me to say. I only interpret them as best I can.

Femme, the moderators OK'd posting an url to a temporary chat. They weren't the ones who took issue with it. It was someone else upset by it.
I'm still scratching my head over this one.

Seems to me that all Meya was offering was place where folks could chat in real time. Nothing wrong with that--unless like me you have a problem typing fast enough to keep up a real time chat
Unfortunately, Meya, your chat room idea raised bad memories in the "old-timers" here of a bitter schism amongst members that had as one of its major points a "private" club/message board. Members of that board were often extremely two-faced, saying one thing there and another here--and frequently gloating a the "new place" about the havoc they wreaked here.
Folks, what saddens me is that Meya was jumped on just for offering a live chat area. Some here seem to have condemned her out of hand without ascertaining the facts of the matter.

Boy it must have been a while back. I was going to give it a try but have not had time to do the hot mail MSN thing. Thanks anyway Meya I have not done real time. I am like you this is about the only place I come. And I spend too much time here already really.
