I would like to believe that these actions are blind and automatic, but I shake my genetic conditioning to look at the truth.
eBay enforces it's 'rules' in such a manner as to keep sellers off-balance and guessing.

"what did I do wrong?"

"why did this happen?"

"But I have been doing this for years?"

"No one else is getting these auctions yanked?"

Just for an example. This appears to be a deliberate stonewalling in application to force the seller to reverse engineer the correct or applicable eBay rule.
The desired outcome from these actions are to keep a populace confused, scared, and dis-organized. Two out of three is acceptable to the manipulating organization.

More later, my friends.

Did you miss your "Big Block of Cheese Day" appointment and so decided to inflict the hypothesis on us?

If it's really "common" sense, why do so few people actually have it?

Hi I know this topic goes back some time ago, and just wish to post an update here that ebay recently reinstated my suspended account. I wish to thank the staff at ebay, I think they are trying to operate as fairly as they can which must be difficult with so many users and auctions. And I will never be a bad boy again!

like others i will play your words against you...

POINT:
"That is the whole point, I never did anything unlawful,"
COUNTERPOINT:
myoldtoi is a licensed gun dealer.. traffics in handguns-semi automatics...THIS IS NOT UNLAWFUL...but try it on eBay..we both know there are as many issues with software as there is with S & W's....

POINT:
"Actually they suspended the entire family including wife and daughter"
COUNTERPOINT:
eBay is at least sophisticated enuff to cross match user codes-info matches[zip codes]..being in the software business, you werent relevant enuff to think of this?

POINT:
"I have sold hundreds, maybe thousands"
COUNTERPOINT: not being a hivolume dealer, i know my f/back nbr, and the total positives..also, i know a dealer who has +188K feedback, and you can bet your bp she knew her total positive nbr.-within a couple hundred that is..

POINT: "I am not asking much, just to know what I supposedly did wrong and ebay is not saying so far..."
COUNTERPOINT: you left the suspension alone for over a year...you "forgot about it?" now you want to know what you supposedly did wrong...

..my feeble opinion is that you shot yourself in the foot-repeatedly... maybe by ignorance, or maybe by hoping the dragon wouldnt AGAIN rear its ugly head...but it did, and it bit you in the A--...

And I will never be a bad boy again!

After reading through this thread, I have to ask...

Just what does your statement mean?

You've never acknowledged you did anything wrong. So what does it mean when you say you'll never be a bad boy again?

Geeze Steve...

You're the one who trotted out this old news. Just couldn't let sleeping dogs lie. Now you're complaining because of input from some who didn't respond to the first thread.

I think Fluffy's post on January 2, 2004 06:28:35 PM said it all and very well.

I admire your resilience, Steve.

How many times do you have to have that eBay suspensionball machine fall on you?
