Trai,

I though it might be an insult... Huh, I wonder why it was directed at me?

WGM...The correct answer is PMS, but I won't submit it because I don't know what the hell I'd do with a photocopy of a crochet pattern, so feel free to use it. However, when Lucy has a contest where the prize is a photocopy for the recipe for 2 buck chuck, I'll be the first to enter. We have a lot of good grapes here in the valley.

Well, neither one of you are correct but if you want the COPY of the crochet pattern, please send me an e and I'll mail it right out!

Edited to add... Although you didn't quite hit the nail on the head as far as the word I looked up, both of you are absolutely correct!

Sparkz --- Man, you were better than that!!! Re-read what you wrote ... You USED TO crack me up ... What the heck is this???? I KNOW you've got it in you. Heck, sparkz, I don't know what I would do with a COPY (LOL!) of a crochet pattern either - I am either bizzylisting or bizzypacking or toodamnbizzytocrochet! But PMS is a great answer! I was thinking along the lines of a few adjectives that fit with that, so we are thinking along the same lines

LOL @ Lucy checking out dictionary.com!

Hmm, sell it on eBay, huh? Can't you just scan it and post it here - it's just a COPY, not like it's the original...

What is so ironic is that although you all are joking about this, I'm actually supporting my daughter with the money I'm making from selling patterns. So while you all are trashing me, I'm LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK.

I'm signing off. Enough of this.

WGM, It wouldn't scan very well. Lots of photos in it. I'm listing the original tonight. When it launches I'll post the number.

Who knows? Maybe the original will be worth a ton of money! I can offer the underbidders a shot at a copy. They should be delighted. Of course I'll lower the price...

Bizzy...Sorry you feel that way. I dislike, as much as you trading barbs in a public forum. If you will re-read my first post in this forum, I was sincere in what I perceived. I still believe your attack on Lucy and Fluffy were not justified and the sudden release of possibly a smoldering resentment for something that may have been said somewhere else. My following posts were an attempt to levitate this thread out of the gutter. I have made many posts on this forum over the years that have drawn responses I didn't like, but I never believed in a character assasination against the individual that made the response. You are absolutely correct in that this forum is to share ideas and opinions with each other. However, no thread helps anyone if it gets derailed into a cat fight. If you want to participate and benefit from the wealth of wisdom that is available here, that's fine. Feel free to contribute. But please leave your agenda and personal attacks at the door before you enter. Otherwise, you may find very few members willing to listen or help. I apologize if I have offended you in any way, but that's my opinion. Take it for what it's worth, or not.

Wow!!!!! Leave this place for a couple of hours and the subject started with copied pattern and now it is on sex. I think it is time to bring out the 2 buck chuck. For awhile when I was reading the emails I thought the topic was in the Round Table.

As I said previously if the pattern is in a Dutch Auction that should throw up a red flag (no pun intended) to tell you that something is amiss. More than one ~ Copies...
Here is another one. If you go to a knitting class or even a quilting class the teacher passes out patterns. We all take one or should we say I am sorry I can't use it because it is copyrighted. It is going on everywhere. The only thing eBay frowns on is picture stealing and description stealing. I hear more email so I guess the story is still going on. Regarding the purse it wasn't eBay that canned the auctions it was Hermes. Ebay could give a care as they are only a venue.

Do what you have to do but remember you came into this board to ask that question. We tried, everyone including

Wow that's quite a pattern book. Vintage people should like that. Those were neet purses in the 40's and some even had bakelite handles or knobs. I remember my mother had a couple of bags like that. She was a spiffy dresser. Do you think you still can buy that cord? Thanks for the memories...

According to the book, Glossilla Corde is "fine quality rayon and cotton yarn." My guess is it's a fairly heavy gauge.

I 'spose I could research it and add a modern-day equivalent to the auction.

The patterns use a size 5 hook. I'd think there would be yarn available to make these bags.

They're good looking!
