LOL, Lucy. My cockateil (Mac A Damia Nut - Mac for short) fell in love with my brother's finger the other day while perched on it. It was the funniest thing I ever saw.

Escarlucy, That's a good one!

I wonder if AebleskiverLucy is taken? Somehow I don't think it is but it's so Danish-Solvang-sounding.

Cheryl,

We used to have a cockatiel (his name was Marlow, he lived to be 17) who simply adored his own image.

There was a mirror between the windows over the kitchen sink. Cafe curtains on both sides so the curtain rod spanned the area in front of the mirror. What that birdie did when he was on those curtains was X-rated. Simply hilarious!

Poor little bird - the kids would put him up on the blades of the kitchen fan and then turn on the fan! I'm amazed Marlow lasted as long as he did. He was a tuffie, that's for sure.

And what, pray tell, do you swallow, Classic?

Niel, I have an Indian Ring-Neck. He doesn't actually have a name, I generally address him as Hey Bird, What's your BIG FAT PROBLEM!

There are four other birdies in the immediate family. A Moluccan cockatoo, Peach - kinda slow - as Moluccan's are - and with big feet but nonetheless entertaining. LorLor, the DYH Amazon who sings Yankee Doodle and does a lot of other talking. Pic is on my eBay Me page. Quazzi and Baby - paired Red-Lored Amazons. Dumber than posts but kinda funny when Baby lies on her back and plays "Dead Bird!"

My favorite bird has always been from the species Turkus Thanksgivinus. Of course, I've also always had a soft spot for Old Crow. I guess you could say I'm an avid bird lover.

Lucy

The image must be a cockateil thing. Mac's favorite place to sit is on his perch that has a mirror attached! In fact, it's next to impossible to get him off that perch to even clean it.

Wow, you got some great name suggestions!
