rozr...Don is a professional and I'm sure he's aware of the rules and would never commit auction interference or go over the line with Ebay. Since he got 2 undeserved negs, he's just reciprocating by giving this moron two well deserved ulcers and a chronic case of amnesia.

I'm pretty sure there's some sort of rule or guidance from eBay that says that sellers should leave feedback once the payment is received. If do you otherwise, don't say that in writing - not in emails to your winning bidders, and definitely not in your ads.

Just to clear this up, there is no rule or guidance from eBay that a seller needs to leave feedback after a payment is received.

It is generally thought wise to let the buyer know why feedback has not been left, and that it will be reciprocated upon receipt of their feedback.

We have found, the sooner they know what is going on, the less likely they are to be upset about the policy.

There have been a lot of good points made, I just felt it was important to clear this one item up.

rozrr is probably right. I think you need to check about putting someone elses user ID in your auctions or any other information relating to this person. Check first before you go ahead and do it. Someone might report you and then they might pull your auctions. Write Safe Harbor or go to live chat and see what they say. Better Safe than Sorry....

I was just jerkin his chain. I do not have the time to waste on this poor boy. I will spend the time to notify as many people as I can about this freak, as I have done here. It seem the right thing to do!

I know that he cannot get to his attorney until monday. He does not know that the letter is a spoof. He will know that the facts SOUND accurate, I even give exact details of the amounts.

I don't get mad, I get even! But it takes a lot to get me mad!!!!

I forgot who left this, but indeed I have recieved an email from ebay reminding sellers to give feedback once the item has been paid for. So they do have a policy to have sellers leave feedback first. I clearly remember this and being quite surprised by this.

And I have send this warning about this guy to every dealer I know. Perhaps we should form a club or a notification page about bad bidders, or even a web site. That might just make us money! Since Ebay lets you fry, what is wrong with a form of "credit reporting" type of service of ebay sellers and buyers?

Don/Dianne, you said:

"And I have send this warning about this guy to every dealer I know."

Whoa. You think you know people; you think they're your friends; but you never know who might turn around and report you to eBay for auction interference. The prohibition against contacting other sellers and telling them not to sell to a particular bidder is very definitely a part of the rules. If any of these other sellers think you're trying to stick your fingers into their businesses, they could be somewhere between annoyed and scared - of you.

Remember, this is a bidder with 100% positive feedback, so they might think *you're* the problem.

Don't assume that anyone is your "friend," especially when you're talking about competing sellers.

You're so very angry, I think the best thing you could do right now is to *do nothing.*

You say that the last email you sent to this bidder was a "spoof." The problem is that he could cut & paste it into eBay's form for "abusive and profane email."

Go - Whether it's in the rules or not that the seller should leave feedback first once the payment has been received, it would be the kiss of death for Don/Dianne to put something in their ads about why they don't leave feedback first. It will scare away prospective bidders in droves.

Don/Dianne - DO NOTHING MORE RIGHT NOW.

Vent on a chat board, if you want. But don't put anything more in writing - not to this bidder, and not to other sellers.
