I agree with Route 66.

The thread is ABOUT ebay sellers, not sanctimonious constipated, pronouncements.

Free your minds, see the link between sizism and racism and all the other stupidities that blot out wisdom.

BTW, I'm a size 8. I ride an 1100 pound sporthorse who requires that I am windfit, strong and smart. Plus I have bicycled in centuries, both metric and english centuries. (That's 62 miles or 100 miles in one day). So I can eat my freakin' head off. Carbs, bring them on. Pancakes and Hashbrowns!

But you know what? I've had freakin' size 2 retail biatches make snidey faces at me when trying on jeans. Sheesh.

You'd think with all the ignorant twonks in the world, there'd be a little more on people's minds than the size of each other's a$$

Japerton...Two things:

First, I was sipping on an ultra hi carb beverage when I read your post, and I spewed all over my keyboard. Be aware, I'm gonna get even one of these days

Second, If you ever decide to run for president, you've got my vote.

is it just plain sloppy that she mailed your smaller buttons OR as an individual seller, she is running out of stock ??
I would be leary buying repeatedly from same seller, most sellers are no walmart or sears, eventually their stock get depleted and hard to replace.

First my last off subject comment (for this thread)
I agree that this thread has been hijacked but the OP does not object and I must say that many times the threads get interesting after they are hijacked.

I PROMISE that this is my last word on the subject but Sparkz is obviously addressing his last post to my earlier comment and I will give an answer and let it stand, I PROMISE.

It was my doctor who put me on a low-carb diet and tested my dropping cholesterol and dropping blood pressure at regular intervals. It was my husband's doctor who agreed that he should try it as well. It was his doctor who was so amazed at the dramatic improvement in both his blood pressure and cholesterol that he took him off his long standing medication for both. Yes, I agree that this is not an eating plan to try on your own and also that most people do not understand how it really works or really follow it. I am married to a man who researches anything that interests him with such dedication that it can make me scream. He reads every book and article he can find and makes a notebook of internet printouts and newspaper clippings. We have both struggled with our weight all our lives and I can tell you this time it is different.

There are still a lot of doctors who will roll there eyes at the ceiling if you mention low-carb but my doctor researched and tried it herself and is convinced it works. We now believe and like any converts are apt to tell everyone more than they want to know about our beliefs. Yes, Japerton even sanctimonious (but not constipated since low-carb is very high in fiber).

I am done (stick a fork in it), I PROMISE.

Back to one of my eBay Pet Peeves:
Sellers who use Vendio checkout and have a PayPal button to pay on the auction page and send an email with a Vendio payment link and PayPal sends an email with a payment link and everyone sends several emails telling me I won and must pay or that I have paid and on and on.

I won an auction last night for a small item. Would have loved to click on the Pay Now button on the auction and be done but I have learned not to after I did that and got an email telling me that I could not get my item till I used the Vendio check out form which I could not do without paying again. It took days of emailing back and forth to the sellers automated system before I got my item. I count 7 emails so far about that little purchase and I am sure I will get at least 2 more.

(edited because I left our a bracket)

wellllllll, its time for me to "weigh in" on the real subject...

-----------------
you say:
"The second sale took 34 emails exchanged".

i gotta say:
you gotta be kidding!
----------------------------

...the next time i buy a singer, i will save the buttons; see if you will want them.[i'm serious!]

MOT,

G' morning! Did I understand correctly that you are saying when you buy a Singer sewing machine ya' get free buttons??????? I'm coRnfused!

Yeah, I didn't really need 1400 buttons. I needed maybe enough for 10 garments. But I would have paid for 20 cards of buttons at the fabric store for the same price, and gotten only 80 or so buttons. If a shirt needs 5 to 6 buttons, of course button manufacturer usually sell 4 on a card.

I get ticked when I go to the fabric store and one button is stolen off a card. You figure some shoplifter might have paid for one card of buttons and helped themselves to the 5th one.

BTW, I just bought a "Rocketeer" recently on eBay. An old Singer Slant-o-Matic sewing machine for the uninformed. I learned to sew on that model. I still need a machine that will sew knits better. I sew very well with a fairly basic Kenmore (made by Singer as well), but have known for many years I deserve a better machine.

I just have dreaded spending the time trying to figure out which one.

Thanks Sparks, I take that as high praise.

Don't worry, I've already been "got" and my spit laugh ratio is pretty high.
