I wouldn't buy anything on Ebay. After reading all the horror stories in the Ebay Outlook about those crooked sellers, I wouldn't trust any of them as far as I could throw them Actually, I bought quite a bit when I first registered in 1998. Then I started selling a few things. I decided I liked the idea of taking money orders out of the mailbox more than I did putting them in. Since then, my philosophy has been " Money comes in - Merchandise goes out ". There are a few things I have an eye out for that I will try to snipe if they ever show up, but I would probably create a new account to bid with. Which brings up the next question. How many of you who buy on Ebay, do so under your seller's account? And how many have a seperate buyer's account?

Several separate buyer's accounts which are also registered as seller's accounts but not used for that right now.
I just picked up several large wholesale lots on eBay for less than my supplier charges me at his "gotta get rid of it" rate. He, in turn, refuses to sell on eBay any more. Doesn't want to deal with the piecemeal orders selling one item at a time and can't get decent wholesale prices selling in lots.
The successful large volume seller is one who can quickly turnaround hundreds or thousands of small items a day, every day.
This is harder than it sounds.

I sell under my main account, buy occasionally. My second ID is for practically all of my buying. It's set up to sell but I haven't done that yet.

I have a buyer ID and a secondary seller ID...but I dont use them very much. Sometimes its just easier to buy with the one ID (tho I know it leaves me open for retailatory fb etc...
