Look, there's something being missed here. The rich don't pay ANY income taxes, so the supposed parity of any plan doesn't apply.
As millionaires go, I'm a small one, but even I don't pay income or payroll tax. I pay capital gains tax, which is a whole different ball of wax, but most of it is offset by depreciation amounts. For my part, I don't care if they make the income tax 200% on earned income, I still won't ppay any because I don't earn income.

gee krs, a tax is a tax is a tax...........it is money out of my pocket not willingly spent. Does it matter what kind of tax it is? Not to me.

gee, the point is that capital gains isn't being effected by the baby's plan to any large extent, so all of the drivel about who's paying fair amounts doesn't matter.
I get it, you want everything for free? Not so difficult, get rich. At least during the Clinton administration. A person would have to have been asleep or dumb or otherwise incapacitated NOT to make money.

krs, I wasn't either asleep OR dumb. I still pay lots of taxes, sorry to say. Mostly cap gains and alternative min. To ME they are still a tax.

Exactly, Ken. And eventually the bills come due. Social security is going to be one hell of an overdue statement.
