I though the number was raised a few years back but maybe not.
Still nervous about faxing and mailing out soc sec info to someone I don't know!
Now if it were Ed McMahon and acouple million that might be a different situation....

If I am not mistaken, the amount is $1200.00 before taxes are taken on a prize. At least it was a couple of years ago when I won $5,000 in Atlantic City.
If they do not need to report the win to the IRS, why do they need your SS#?

I did a searh ~ looks like it varies from state to state ~ I'm in Florida and it the law requires amounts of $601 and above to be reported.
