jamesoblivion-wow, thank you for posting that.
If I remember right (from all the years in parochial school )
Revelations is Johns writings, as he was taken into the future to see what would happen, and he related it back as how he saw it, such as, he didn't have any other words back then, but 'dragon' to describe things he saw.
Now everyone will be putting 666 together to come out Bush
bobbysoxer- I heard THAT one, the guy bound and gagged, and I really felt for that guy! the dispatcher kept asking him to repeat what he was saying, and then asking his name!
Linda-you know they re released the Excorcist
at the theater! I remember going to see it when it first came out, scared the @#$# outta me! accccck!

On tonights program AB will have open lines and mad scientists are invited to call tonight. Should be interesting. I like to hear the callers's stories and opinions.
Shelly
Did you catch the caller last week that she didn't realize she was talking with AB and he pretended he was not? Hilarious! I was cracking up!
Last night also there was a caller that said he has had "encounters" with the shadow peopole, you know when you see "shadows" or movements in the corner of your eye? Apparently he looked one in the eye and it appeared it looked as if "he can see me!" and then the guy chased it! He was operating a radio with RF. AB insinuated that the RF caused the encounter.
AB told the guy to email him and he will be a guest on the show. The caller also emailed AB a pic of something can't remember off hand but it was not coming through. AB emailed the caller that info but the caller didn't receive the email. Conspiracy?

Wow I caught part of that call, about the shadow thing
I do know that Art Bell is an avid ham radio operator, and its been said that in between, like during the breaks for news, he goes and talks on the radio!

Oh I remember one caller, this was a little bit sick.....
He 'knew a freind, who had a freind that worked at Area 51'
Anyway, this caller went on to explain that there were NOT aliens there, but that after WWII, the U.S. gov't brought over Nazi Concentration camp Doctors (this is BAD) and
were interested in some of their 'expierments'...... WELL, this caller said that what everyone thought were aliens being hidden there, were actually 'mongoloid' children, who these drs from Germany did G force expierments on.
(told you this is bad)
Well I guess! thats one way to explain away any aliens there......
Our gov't do anything like that?
This, too, as the caller said was all done back in the late 40's ('47 Roswell crash?) and early 50's........
Did you hear that caller? dang, I think it was about 2? weeks ago......

NearTheSea - Let me put it this way....years ago I saw my first horror movie. Anthony Perkins in Psycho. Since that time, and I swear this is true, I have never taken a shower without one of my family members in the house. Not outside, or in the garage, but they have to be in the house. Does that explain how brave I am?

No I don't remember that caller, but do know that in the alien autopsy the theory is that it could have been a "human" if you get my drift here- if it was indeed an authentic autopsy.
Unfortunately the Nazi's did do experiments on human beings that provided us with medical care. With our own USA history of human experiments, it could be possible. It wouldn't surprise me.

When I first heard Art on the air (about 2 years ago) I would have *sworn* that he was this guy, sitting alone in his basement, talking to all 8 of his listeners.
I couldn't belive it when he was on the cover of Newsweek!! "You mean other people actually know who this guy is???" LOL
I know I shall be drawn and quartered at noon for this, but I really preferred the guy they had on during the week who replaced Art (what the hell was his name?!? ). I don't care for the gal who does the Saturday night shows.

Well, I looked at the ghost pictures, and I have to say that all I could really see in most of them was nothing more interesting than what you see in the clouds on a sunny day. Smoke, fire, and cameras with flash problems were all I saw. And that kid in "Three Men and a Baby" was explained YEARS ago. It's a cardboard cutout that one of the crew put there as a joke. I can sit here and look at my wood door and see faces in the pattern of the wood. But that doesn't mean they're there. The only picture that creeped me out was that kid playing the guitar. Now that was weird.

I listen to Art Bell in the a.m. when I get up(4:30)The people that call in are nuts.It scares me to think how many people out there belive what they say.The one that really got me was the people talking about the invisable tubes that fly around. These people are mental and should not be encourged.
posted on March 30, 2001 08:51:30 PM new
Ok loony, then why do you listen? Don't you know that every listener makes the show that much more popular?
I'm sure that some (many?) of the people who call in or are guests are what one could call "off", but at the same time the show has done many shows that deal with current events and historical events. I've found the shows about Egypt very interesting.

The mad scientist line is so far not what I was expecting.
The shadow guy was interesting. I see "movements" in the corners of my eyes that are "black." I had read years ago that these were ghosts but now.....I wonder. I have a tendency to see them when there aren't anyone else around.
It was so funny that AB put us on hold so he could go outside LOL!

Did you hear the guy right after the shadow guy? That was my boyfriend! I started another thread about it.....was wondering if anyone else heard it.

Some of the ghost pics are fakey -I think. I think AB just offers the submissions from listeners and allows us to "judge" for ourselves.

Tomorrow night is without AB
Barbara Simpson will be the host with Bart Sibrel who "uncovered a 31-year old, mislabeled, unedited reel of footage that provides evidence that the Apollo moon walk was a hoax -- Apollo 11 never made it beyond the earth's orbit. Bart Sibrel has been making moving image productions for thirteen years. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, his national credits include work for NBC, CNN, The Nashville Network (TNN), The Learning Channel (TLC), and the Discovery Channel. His awards from the American Motion Picture Society include Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and two Top Ten awards. He has also won Videomaker's Magazine's Best Drama award."
Sounds interesting. I watched Fox's special about how NASA faked the moon vist. I think it is possible that the 1969 moon visit was faked.

Yeah when I turned it on, it was late. I only heard the shadow people.
lotsafuzz! did your boyfriend call about the house he just moved into, and saw the gathering of shadows in the living room,so he
had his brother stay in another room to witness it? And his brother saw it too???
YIKES

Nearthesea: Nope, he called in about the aurora lights (we could see them all the way down in Las Cruces, NM). He was on about an hour before the guy with the brother (although, I did hear that call).

Lotsafuzz ,The only reason I listen to AB is that when his show is done at 5:00 am the local news is on.I don't feel like resetting the clock radio every morning just to avoid hearing him.I've got to admit that the man who was saying that he saw a bunch of deer in the woods that turned out to be aliens was pretty funny. It seems these "alien" deer made him burp uncontrollably.Sounds like a true story to me!

Ah, AM radio is alive and well!
I listen,right after Lionel.
Bobbysoxer, The mad scientist hotline last night, after so many people used it to report shadow people, was deemed by art to be "the shadow people hotline". One person even called to question Art's knowlege of a pre-area 51 incident in the late 40's. I always yell at the caller (thru my radio) "dont use the wrong hotline to bring up area 51 stuff," because someone always does.
Art had to keep going outside because of the raging borealis last night, which i couldnt see due to cloudy conditions.
The antichrist hotline last week was better.
So many bogus antichrist(s) calling it didnt look good. Finally the real one called.
Now, what's really frightening are the "Megaslim" and "jointrightus" commercials. The callers are real, but these products are snakeoil.
No one can call em out like ART. When he was gone, AM stations lost big revenue.

bobbysoxer-I've probably seen shadows out the corners of my eyes, but I won't say they
were shadow people
Yep AM radio is alive. Its all talk radio, which is what I listen to mostly.
If I want music, I put a CD in the stereo, but I love talk radio, and the best talk is the Art Bell show.
He has talked about things other than aliens, antichrists, etc. He goes into current events a lot.
yep I agree the commercials, and the products he 'endorses' are snakeoil
EXCEPT, the C.Crane co. I did buy a BayGen Radio, and it was the best $100 investment I can think of. The thing truley is what he says, crank for 1 min, get 30 mins of radio time, AM/FM and SW. I really like it.
posted on March 31, 2001 04:58:23 PM new
Cool on the baygen, Near.
But i prefer a 1936 Detrola model 727 with a longwire running from the window to the balcony supports. Something big, huge, has a large glowing Dial, is a model of inefficiency and a horrible violator of the laws of thermodynamics by 2000's standards. Nothing like the scent of hot dust and ozone that fills the room. unlike the baygen, it's transformer runs at about 350volts and it pulls several amps.
Art would approve.
Yeah I don't know the explanation for the "movements" but I am open to input as to what they could be. Shadow people is one option as well as "ghosts." Then again maybe "ghosts" are things from another dimension?
Can you believe that one caller claiming to be a shadow person? Mmmmm.....
I agree with the commercial opinions expressed. What is that age formula crap (sic)?
I know one person who has the Baygen. Crank it for 30 seconds and it works for 30 minutes!

Yes, can you imagine the unmitigated gall some people have wanting to hear themselves on the radio? It really upsets Art and makes us all wince. Those people dont understand the signal delay sets up a kind of doubletalk in Art's earphones even in the Kingdom of Nigh. Will they ever get a clue?

thermionic
Well, I think one of the problems is that AB doesn't have a person there to answer the phones before he talks with the callers. Particularly the first callers are oftentimes surprised to be talking with AB right off the bat.
Anyways the "monitor" would have the callers turn off their radios before AB picks up the line.
Did you catch the female caller last week that didn't realise she was talking with AB and he was pretending he wasn't AB? Had me cracking up!
