oh,my! joice asks that krs and I cease addressing each other and ken gives me an "oh sit down, stusi" and a smiley. should i take that sitting down and wait for moderation or should I e-mail the mods and see if i get a timely response? or should i wait for "some(one) who seems to cherish that role" to self-moderate? but that might cause an identity crisis!!!---smiley,*******,smiley,*******. hey, this is fun. if you put in enough smileys and asterisks no one knows what you saying or whether you mean it or not. a moderator's nightmare!???? or a poster's cop out??? or both? is this anarchy or just compassionate conservatism?

stusi,

I figured since you both posted after my warning that you were pretty much even.

Don't think we are fooled by smilies though.

joice- one was a few minutes late due to typing while the warning was posted and the other was an hour late. but that's o.k., i was looking to see if you were looking, not looking to get krs in trouble as i respect half of what he says immensely. smiley, smiley.

He's young and impressionable, Joice, with a propensity to crankiness if he misses his afternoon sit down.

Mark said to Hellcat: I have read your posts at other venues, and I am familiar with your intent.

Now just a second: The moderators here have time and time again said that they will NOT and can NOT moderate issues from any other site.

Now Mark is saying that because he has seen the username Hellcat (BTW, I know of at least 2 OTHER users who use the ID Hellcat hanging around the boards) say something that has irked him, he is allowed to make nasty comments to a poster that was suspended BEFORE he got nasty?!?!

Is is April 1st where you live????

Will the first person who comes out with a road map that shows precisely where the international borders are between the different forums please let me know...I want to buy one...because right now I'm totally lost!

I also hope someone compiles a "little black book" that will explain the now "secret" guidelines the moderators will be using to lock threads, womd threads and posts and hand out suspensions...because if questions about moderation are only handled on a one on one email basis it will leave the rest of us in the dark as to what is allowable and what is not.

A guide book that is compiled by all who have had email correspondance about any moderation question would be invaluable to the rest of us who were not in that "email loop"...it would help the rest of us know what the quidelines are. that way we can try to make sure we avoid crossing the line...a line that seems to be getting hard to see (almost like it is being written in "invisable ink".

By the way, at the risk of inadvertantly crossing the "disrespect line"....IMO for the statement "you know the drill" was insulting to the recipient and definately not within the bounds of common respect for another. And most assuredly not a professional way to inform Hellcat that if she had any questions she should email Diana.

But, krs, I have told you guys before not to do anything drastic when I'm not here! Not my fault if you don't mind me!

Oh for crying out loud!!

The last thread that was WOMDed could have just as well been locked.

Unreal.

I discovered it when I tried to post about your grad school, Lotsa. Great idea and I think that you'll enjoy it, though the stress of teaching and going to school can sometimes be a little hard to handle.

About the zapping--I'm just treating it as another of life's little absurdities. May as well, not much to do about it. I've already stated my opinion but don't expect much.

Well, that was the first time I was ever in the middle of a thread while it was WOMD'd. Imagine my surprise at finding myself out on the street, just like that.

Maybe it'll get easier when I get used to it, and it looks like there's likely to be lots of opportunities.

Right at the top, when you post a reply, is this statement " Have fun, and please post responsibly! "

Are you sure we aren't supposed to be enjoying this?

I was gone all day and just look what you all have done while I was gone!

Hello Everyone,

That thread did get WOMD and I don't know who did it, although I can guess the why as I'm sure you can too.

I'll try and find out by the time I'm back in the morning.

I'm guessing that it was zapped because the thread was originated by a rather inept self-proclaimed troll who condemned all the posters here to hell, but after it left, we were having fun.
