I just realized yet ANOTHER stupid change in the new Item Page!! Not only does it not state the beginning date of the auction when it is current & active, only the end date and the hour/day countdown, but when it is closed, I used to go in for each one and see how long it actually was on there to see how fast they were being snapped up and they don't even state that when it is closed either! So we Seller's have NO IDEA WHEN WE LISTED IT!! Which sucks for both the "Buy It Nows" and the traditional auctions.

This is a major BUMMER to the way I conduct my auctions and how I keep - or USED to keep- my fingers on the pulse of how fast listings were moving for me!! Anyone else miss this important fact that we now don't have available, other than doing lots of painstaking research to find out when they launched?

It is true that other "auction management" providers are having problems too! It is Ebays fault not the auction management services. Ebay had excluded any use outside of ipix. I believe Ebay is the one who is responsible for making it possible/or not possible for outside use other than ipix. (this is just what I have read about Ebay)

Hi Biffette,

When your items end, if you click on "Bid History" it will display the start and end time. You can then see how long it was active.

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to bring to your attention our announcement on the support for the eBay Photo Preview, which will be available tomorrow morning.

Note that you will need to set this option up in your eBay Site Specifics section under My Account.

Thanks,

Diana

And how will we do that? How and where do we change the picture preferences so the pictures will appear at the top left of the page as you are talking about. Will we be charged for this service like a gallery item? Will it automatically place the picture at the top in our current auctions? I have 300 auctions, and it is not possible to go in and change each and every one of them. I am not real computer savvy as far as this Ipix and other phrases. Could someone explain this in computer "dummy terms" for me? Thanks so much....karen

AGAIN, I ask the following, since no one has bothered to answer my question from 7-9:
"Sonya &/or Kevin,

That's all well and good, but what I've found is that even IF you at Vendio were to implement an option to add the IPIX at the top of the auction page as stated, does everyone realize that that will automatically default to become your Gallery photo? AND, it is automatically shrunk down to half its size when viewing the "View photo listings" in your Seller's List & in the "View Gallery" option and the listings that show Gallery photos if you've added them? I changed several of mine over to add the IPIX image 2 days ago and by the next day, the images in the Gallery were teeny, tiny images, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the Gallery images I didn't switch over to the IPIX image.

So, tell me:

#1:
Is the Gallery default still going to be there in your implementation or will we be able to have separate photos for each option and...

#2: Will the Gallery photos be shrunk still, if adding an IPIX or will they remain full sized?

Can someone explain to me how to revise and add an image manually to the top of the Ebay listing? I know how to change my gallery image, but I cannot find where to insert the picture that goes on top of the listing. Is it in the description part?..I am in a fog....thanks everyone, Foggy Judy.

We now offer sellers the ability to include an image in the eBay title bar at the upper left of the view item page (Photo Preview). To enable this picture for your listings, you will need to set up your preferred image style in eBay Site Specifics under the My Account tab (at bottom of that page).

eBay has announced that they will support non-eBay images in the Photo Preview on their site and in their formal interfaces (API) in "the upcoming months." Until eBay supports this feature directly, our technical implementation requires us to upload your image to the iPIX system just prior to launching the associated listing to eBay.

We do not yet fully understand iPIX's ability to receive these images at the rate we require, so we will be monitoring and tuning the launcher as necessary to ensure a high quality service. If iPIX is unable to accept the image in a timely fashion, we will submit your item without this Photo Preview image to eliminate the risk of late launches. If you find an item appears without the Photo Preview as you requested, you may revise your item to include this image directly on the eBay view item page.

Please also note that the image you select for the Photo Preview will override the selected gallery image, should you apply the gallery option as well. When eBay supports a formal interface, we will adapt our system to work within their structure. In the interim, our implementation will provide the quality image hosting you've always received from Vendio with the added support for the Photo Preview.Learn More
