Linda,
I just had a look back at the thread I linked you to and realized it only tells half the story. At some point while we were all laughing in the original thread, stusi began another thread in the late Moderator's Corner and accused me of making anti-semitic remarks (by referencing Exodus) and catering to the prejudices of other people posting in the thread (stusi instructed me that I should have known their biases before posting such a thread -- I still don't know what stusi was talking about). It was all very bizarre and right in keeping with the lame allegations made against stockticker in yesterday's fiasco.

I don't think you have to worry about moderation. You are after all addressing posts, and not a poster.

I only spent a minute doing a site search (how long would it have taken Stusi to do the same thing, particularly when I mentioned the thread to him?). I didn't realize it was the same thread. It'll do. Both my comments still apply to the same thread.

Judging by the posts that stusi directed to me a few weeks ago -- posts declaring that I was making anti-Semitic comments -- I don't think it's realistic to expect or even hope that the pertinent posts in this situation would be characterized by anything resembling logic or reason.

Spaz: At least he referred to a real thread and not a bunch of imaginary ones. You know how good my memory is.
Helen provided a link to a thread where I called Networker a "fanatic". Networker started a thread in the Moderator's Corner wanting me moderated for that comment. At the same time he wanted Stusi moderated for another comment. As I recall, that was the only time our three names appeared together in the same thread there. It was a short thread and simply dealt with Networker's demand that we be moderated.

this thread was supposed to be about the general concept of the viability of "hashing it out" threads. in light of the continued insults by several like-minded posters on this thread, it would seem that such a thread would have very little chance to avoid being locked. one last comment for my good friend, "you-know-who": i stated very clearly that i had a SERIOUS problem with my concerns being questioned in threads on the MOD board. you can continue to misdirect others to posts which you and i made on other boards, but incredibly the analogy to Jesse Jackson's accomplished misdirection skills is unavoidable. to continue in this vain is pointless and once again a thread is getting off topic.

I think this thread is an adequate demonstration of why a "Hashing it Out" forum would be a very bad idea...
Stockticker and stusi,
You obviously have some differences of opinion, but perhaps you should take them to email before you cross the line into CG violations.
I think it's time to lock this one up.
