I'm a fairly new seller to e-bay and have a situation. I had an auction close on 7/15. Notified the buyer on 7/16 who followed up the same day saying she would send a check. It's 8/3 and still no check. I sent a second email 7/31 telling her I was concerned that her check might have been misrouted (benefit of the doubt) and would she please respond with the date she mailed her check. No response to the email. My question is, how long do I wait before relisting the items (2) she purchased? My auctions all say that payment is appreciated within 10 days from the close of the auction. Thanks for you advice.

I have had the same thing happen. I use eBay and the have a notification that they send. You have to initiate 10 days after the close of auction. If you do not receive payment, you send in a equest for credit 10 days after the notification was sent. I wait 30 days before relisting and after I have gone through these steps. However, I also notify the original bidder that the auction has been voided and the item will be relisted. I have had 2 instances when the buyer had what appeared to be genuine family emergencies or severe illness. I have also had buyers who have just strung me along but finally paid after 30+ days. I leave a negative feedback 30 days after the close of auction just stating the end date of the auction and the date of feedback with the comment that payment not received by that date.
