I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but twice now I've received emails from PayPal stating that a buyer has sent money via PayPal (it is the official letter, it looks like) but when I go to my PayPal history, neither the amount or the buyer's name appears on my account! Has this happened to anyone here? I've emailed PayPal itself to ask my question three days ago, but they haven't gotten back to me! I haven't sent any of the questionable items out yet, but am wondering if anyone could help with this....

this happens when the buyer mistypes your email id. for some reason, paypal is able to send you the letter but not the funds. tell your buyer to cancel the first payment (if it has not been collected, it is cancellable) and reissue it with the right id. You might also want to go into your pp account and send him a request for payment. that way he can respond and you know he has the right id.

Yes, this has happened to me. It turns out that the "paypal e-mail" was FORGED by someone trying to receive someone else's item for free. ...Well, it worked. We mailed this person the item before checking our account. The next day, the "real" high bidder paid through paypal. We lost $85.00. I never used to check my paypal account when I received a "payment e-mail." I DO EVERY TIME NOW!!!!

Just a thought. I had the same thing happen. I was notified that 4 different buyers had sent me money but it was not showing in my account information. I finally figured out that it was because PayPal did not have information on both of my email addresses. The payers had emailed PayPal from my email address that wasn't listed. PayPal sent me a message even though the email address used was not part of my account information. I added the missing email and all of the missing payments immediately showed up. I hope your problem is something as simple as this. If not, good luck working it out.

I have had numerous problems logging into my PAY PAL account from my WEB TV terminal just as Kathy has mentioned. I find it to be difficult in the afternoon and evening hours.
It is almost impossible to sign into
your account from WEB TV during these time periods. I would like to
know the causes, and the solutions ?
CAN ANYBODY HELP US ????????????????

I too received an email saying I had cash, but when I went to the account it wasn't there. (I thoroughly scrutinized the headers of the email and it was from PayPal). When the person sending the money viewed it on their end it showed sent but not claimed. What had happened was when the person typed in my email address they had put in a space (which is how it looks on my AOL acct), but at PayPal my email address is listed as all one word--no space. PayPal did not 'recognize' it as being the same person, so it didn't show up on my PayPal acct. The reason I still got the email was because AOL will still 'figure out' the correct address whether you put the space in or leave it out, and whether you use all caps or lowercase. I hope this makes sense. Since I hadn't 'claimed' the money the sender was able to cancel the transaction (I got the email from PayPal on that too), and this time she resent carefully putting in my email address exactly as I told her to, and it went through with no problem. My first thought had been that this was someone trying to scam me, but she has EXCELLENT feedback, and it was for a very small $ amount. Also, I have heard of the same thing happening to other people. Regardless I wasn't going to do anything until she made sure the money showed up in my account. It is VERY important that you always check your PayPal account and verify the funds are there before you proceed with the transaction.

I just recently started selling a few things at Priceline Perfect YardSale and they sent me a cash card that gets loaded with money when I sell someting.
It was easier not having to wait for the buyer to go through a process to get paid.
