Had my own bad experience with uBid some time ago. I bought a printer and it was delivered with no printer head. By the time I jumped through all the hoops and finally got a response from the company who was SUPPOSED to take care of it... I was referred to yet another company to get the "return authorization" number. Never got the number, etc., etc. To make a long story short, they ran out the 90 Day warranty and I decided to just buy a printer head. The cost would have been more than the cost of a new printer. TOSSED the printer I bought from uBid and chalked the whole thing up to experience... One I'm not likely to repeat.
I wouldn't even take the time to look at their site now!

I have good luck, I purchase from Ubid and when I receive an item that is broken or does not work I just call them and tell them that I just received it and that it is broken, They always give me an RMA to either return it by USPS (Even fax me a postage paid Return label) or they just have UPS pick it up with a Call Tag. A week or 2 later I receive a credit on my credit card account. You need to check the item as soon as you get it.
