I had bought 3 knives with the seller on Ebay last year but had been wait for 2 months and still dont get the mail.

I ask the seller to give me the number that write on the customs form so i can ask the custom in local. But they told me no record is found.

Then i decide to ask the seller to claim for the insurace for me and she just told me to claim for that myself with that number. Do u think it works? Pls tell me your opinion. Thanks.

P/S: i live in Malaysia.

FILE A FRAUD REPORT WITH EBAY IMMEDIATELY ON THIS SELLAR. THAT SHOULD GET YOU SOME SERVICE. IF ITS A MAIL #S FOR INSURANCE FILE NOW AS THERE IS A TIME LIMIT TO COLLECT. EXPECT IT TO TAKE A LONG TIME TO GET PAID. IT TOOK ME 2 1/S MONTHS FOR INSURANCE REFUND FROM POST OFFICE. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO FILE THE FRAUD REPORT. STAND UP FOR YOUR SELF. DO NOT BE IGNORED, IT IS YOUR $$$$$ THEY ARE IN THE WRONG NOT YOU.

Thank you for your reply. Do u mean that i can claim for the insurance by only giving the
customs form number to the post officer? (I dont had any proof or receipt on my hands cos seller did it)

Hi;

No, you cannot put in a claim with the post office. The seller needs to do that, as they are the ones who have all of the relevant paperwork.

If this package was sent internationally via surface mail, it often takes 6 to 8 weeks to arrive in another country. Surface mail means that it travels by boat, which does take a while.

Often packages will be held in customs in the receiving country for several weeks, as well.

E-mail the seller and ask them to go to their local post office and file a tracer for this package.

Good luck.

I had ask her but she refuse to do that..

That's what she wrote:

The CLAIM NEEDS TO BE DONE OVER THERE WITH THE NUMBER THAT WE SENT TO YOU.

What can i do now?

This seller had more than 1600 rating. Can u believe she will do that to me?

HELLO, THE P.O. HAS FORMS THAT THE BUYER CAN FILL OUT. YOU JUST HAVE TO SHOW THAT YOU ARE THE RECEIPANT OF THE PKG. THE #S THE LADY GAVE YOU SHOULD WORK. BUT YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE WORK SINCE SHE'S NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE MINDED. IT CAN BE A HASSLE TO LOCATE A MISSING PKG. GO FILE THE FORMS. DID YOU FILE THE FRAUD REPORT? IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PUT PRESSURE ON HER FROM EBAY. ALSO LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK ON HER.

Keep trying! It makes you wonder how they got a 1600 rating, doesn't it? I agree with the others, though to pursue it and let others know about it. That is what feedback forum is all about! Good Luck!

The seller had reply me today.

We have turned into the post office all of the papers that they gave us, this is a big problem with customs, there is a very good change that we will never sell to over seas again because of customs. Customs always wants to put the
blame on the customer. We all lose and they make the money. We are still waiting for some answers on this matter from the post office.

I m not sure whether she will give me the refund.

The deadline for file the feedback is 31st Jan.
I know i need to be careful but i just dont know what to do. Any advice?

FILE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK TODAY. SHE HAS EARNED IT. "90DYS-HAVE NOT REC ITEM SELLAR UNCOOPERATIVE"BUYER BEWARE"-----> THE SELLAR HAS EARNED IT. THEY MAY SLAM YOU BACK. RESPOND--->PD FOR ITEM NEVER REC. SELLAR NOT HELPING FIND PKG. ---> THEY NEED THE NEG FEEDBACK. I WOULD NOT HOLD NEG FEEDBACK AGAINEST YOU WHEN I SAW YOUR RESPONSE. IT PUTS IT BACK IN THERE HANDS AS BEING THE BAD GUY. YOU ARE THE VICTIM.

Please e-mail the seller again and tell her to file a claim and remiburse you pronto!!! and if she refuses tell her that you are filing a report to Ebay!! tell the seller that they have 2 days to respond and have them pay you back through paypal "if you have an account" of a international money order.. I sell and I do all the paper work here on lost or stolen items..I may need a written letter that the item was never recieved, but thats all that is needed usually..
