I usually use USPS in shipping my items and have had no problems in three years. This past Labor Day Weekend I was in another state and shipped my purchases, 4 boxes, Double boxed, back home to FL. I have 2 boxes of totally smashed china. Nothing in either of these boxes is in tact and UPS says they will not pay (I paid for extra ins) STAPLES says UPS is responsible and UPS says Staples is responsible and in the meantime I am stuck with $500 of broken merchandise. Let this be a warning to you about purchasing ins. or using either one of these shipping methods. By the way 2 boxes that were shipped 3 days eirlier bu USPS were fine.

Staples has a shipping service similar to Mailboxes Etc., in the town where I was visiting. They are a drop point for UPS.

I did the packing not staples. My feed back shows that I am a very capable packer. I purchased supplies for packing ,Bubbke wrap and peanuts from staples . Staples has called a member of my family, who went there and took photo's of the packages, and said they would re submit the claim to UPS.

I will post again if this situation is resolved fairly.

ups has just lost a lawsuit on delaying sending claim checks to their customers-the penalty is TEN TIMES the claim amount plus another fine which is like 50% of the claim amount.
they have sent out their claim checks under this lawsuit, may be they have lost so much money they are trying to deny claims.
if they deny this is their fault, then there wont be any claim, then there wont be any lawsuit .
the claim checks are being sent out by the seller to the customer who suffered losses,so ask staples .
