We are all buyers and sellers here. I try to be very close on my shipping charges to make sure the item is insured and tracked...to cover myself and the buyer.
In the last two weeks I have won some items at good prices. Auction said actual shipping.. I was charged $15 for a 12" high 1 lb. lamp and $45.00 for a small lightweight light fixture. They said you don't want to pay it then forget the auction...
I offered to send a UPS shipping label and a few bucks for boxing and they had a fit. It was apparent that they were trying to recover their losses with shipping charges.
As sellers, how would you feel if you were sent a prepaid UPS label that all you have to do is slap it on the box and and hand it to any UPS driver or drop off at any UPS station?

we all have our way of running our business, what may seem like a nice and easy arrangement may be less than desired with the other party.
some sellers do not use ups,or do not want to make special trip to ups drop off,or want to be home waiting for ups to pick up.
some of us just want to do things our way because we are creatures of our own habits??
or just are more efficient if we just have one roadmap.
some could use a third party to run errands and mail package and that third party do not do windows and ups.
please do not dictate how other sellers run thier business,if you cant stand the shipping fee, then dont get the items, there will be more items coming every day.
NEVER NEVER DICTATE HOW OTHER SELLERS SHOULD RUN THEIR BUSINESS.

This Valerie didn't ask for a lecture! Why can't you just respond to her and not tell her your stuff????

I would love a prepaid mailer though UPS offices are not all that frequent around where I live so it would take a TRIP to get there.

I used to buy stuff on Ebay and if I didn't get the shipping info up front I wouldn't bid on the auction. Valerie, why didn't you get an exact shipping quote (instead of agreeing to "actual shipping costs" before bidding and winning? I once had a guy say "actual shipping". I weighed a similar item at home and figured out the cost. HIS actual shipping costs were $20.00 more than mine! Suffice it to say, we didn't do business.

i am not telling her MY STUFF.
it is just sellers' stuff, there are so many ebay sellers coming from different parts of the world,of all stripes and color.
one man 's meat is another man's poison.
take pork for example, asian love pork, try to serve them to the muslim??
one seller gave me her reason for fed exp over ups-she finds boxes delivered via fed exp cleaner than those delivered via ups,she gets to reuse these boxes so she likes and uses fed exp??
i ship usps,to do ups will reqire a separate trip, and just for one package??
no seller likes to be dictated,i dont like anyone to tell me how to run my business and i dont tell others how they should run theirs.

some sellers ship their packages from their employer's mail room, they just turn them over to the mail clerk and pay no shipping fee.
i bot some items from a woman who works for a law firm, she pockets the shipping and insurance for some jewelry she sold me,she almost got into trouble when the items were delivered to my neighbor's mail box and she was away for days.
