I'm a new seller on ebay, and have been reading these horror stories about PayPal. Obviously I will not use them, so who do YOU recommend I use to do my transactions? Any advice greatly appreciated. Mel Bergman <[email protected]>

you can use billpoint,c2it and propay and bidpay.
or apply for your own merchant account.
of course money order is the best.

depends on what you sell and how bg is the transaction amount.
i have been using paypal for 2 years,no problemo!!
these days my paypal transactions are small, under 25 (not my choice, but blame it on bin laden).
many ebay bidders like to use paypal,so i go along with it.
you may have to evaluate your business and customer demand.
good luck.
