have you seen one of those Zales diamond commercials on TV last Christmas? I was one of the poor victims that bought one of those earning with a tiny winy diamond for $29.99 in a cheap made in china 'porcelain' container. It turns out that the diamonds usually have impurities even if they are so small. It was so obvious because one was white and the other the usual transparent (see-through) . Zales allowed me to return them and I was credited the amount (without shipping) plus I had to pay another $6 for postage to return the item.

Zales generally sells highly included diamonds with as many flaws that can fit into one diamond. Their gem rating is way off. Their color is low on the scale. Basically, they keep an inventory that no other stores would touch, other than say Montgomery Wards, Wal-Mart, or K-Mart. You can usually see the flaws with the naked eye.
