I am a frequent buyer when I see negative comments they are generally from bidders with nearly no rating. I tend to ignore them if your rating is 20 or better and your record spans several months. I'm sure, I'm not the only one who sees it that way.

I agree with you on that. Of the couple of negative I have got, have been from new users who beleive it they are not happy with what they buy that means they leave negative feedback. I had one bidder who left me negative feedback 3 days after an auction ended claiming I never responded to her e-mails. Refered to me as BAD NEWS for Ebay, but yet if you looked at her feedback she had 4 Positives and 4 negatives (for not responding to e-mails by the way). After sending a nice letter to safeharbor she was immediatly suspended from ebay and her comments left for me was removed. I don't put up with crap like that, I take action.

I ran into the same problem. Had a bad transaction...I sent payment promptly & when I received my item it was not what I thought I bid on (I thought I bid on rhinestone jewelry I could wear, it ended up being doll rhinestone jewelry).I tried to come to an arrangement with seller & she told me it was my tough luck & buyer beware. She had posted a positive feedback but did not notate transaction # & then went back after I left her a negative feedback & posted another feedback with a # but this time it was negative.Ebay would not take this off. She harrassed me non stop until my ISP banned her emails. Currently I have an ebayer who bid on an item it has been almost a month & she hasn't paid. Different excuses recently I gave her another 10 days, she emailed me back telling me I took 2-3 weeks to respond which I have back up emails to prove I responded next day & several other days. She said if I left negative feedback she would do the same to me since we are both to blame? She has her story wrong. What do you do...I know ebay won't support me. Sorry I guess you have to be afraid to leave a negative feedback, so why bother having negative feedback?? Other than that there are some real nice ebayers out there too that I have met.

One thing you can do on eBay these days on eBay is file complaints with SquareTrade (i think they're in Safe Harbor).
I had a good experience with them dealing with a bad seller.
Check it out - it's kind of more satisfying than posting a negative feedback on them
