This is weird! I usually clear items from my "unfiled" folder and move to another folder a couple of days after listing and to do this I use the "last viewed" date. For two days that date has not changed!! Thinking that my biz must be going worse than I thought, I looked at a huge folder I have containing all items listed this fall and winter - same thing - most things viewed 3/22, NOTHING viewed 3/23, handful 3/24....what's up? Is the site not recording image views anymore?

If you look in my "unfiled" folder, and sort by "last Viewed" (recent first) you can see the items I just uploaded today, and then NO ITEMS viewed march 24, only one item viewed March 23, and then March 22 seems to be normal. If you look at the items in my "winter spring 2007" (where I move images after I list them) out of 7000 images, only a handful were viewed march 24 and NONE on march 23??? That's got to be impossible. Something must not be updating. My ebay traffic report shows more than 2,000 page views on the 23 and 24th and yet no one is looking at most recent listings?

Hello again,

So when I go to your image hosting page and click on a particular image that date changes to today, which in my mind is how the "last viewed" column is supposed to work. Your counter is attached to your images, but as far as I know it should not update in your image hosting account. I'll be honest, it's a column that I've never paid attention to enough to give you a solid answer either way. Let me get clarification on this and I'll get back to you.

Ed - thanks for checking. In the past, when someone views one of my items, the date the "image last viewed" updates (must be, as you said, connected with the counter). It also happens when I look at an image in "my images" directly.

Maybe there has been some kind of change. Please let me know what you find out because I kind of relied on this to decide when it was safe to delete my old, old images (reasoning: if no one has viewed in a year or so, the item is no longer active). I'm not even close to the image hosting allowed under my plan so I won't delete anything for the time being.

Hello again Mary Ann,

You were right. So I'm not sure why they were not updating over the weekend, but it does look as though the last viewed images are updating now. Please let me know if you see any further examples of this.

Thanks,

Ed

It shows all my images have disappeared and I just wonder why it is happening....

Hello,

Which images are you having trouble viewing at this time?

It looks like images "last viewed" (and maybe counter too) are not updating again.

Hello,

I was able to see the problem with the "last viewed" date not updating, and I have escalated this problem to our engineers. Please note that the counters do appear to be working correctly at this time.

Regards,
Nathan
