Hi all, it has been several years since I changed templates and quite honestly forgot how to do it. I went into the template workshop. Selected one I liked and then hit save at the bottom of the auction. Thought that all of my pending and new auctions would now show up with the new template. Nope, never that easy. Please advise what steps I need to go through to lock a new template in for all of my auctions. Thanks, Steve

I forgot to add that no matter what I do, the old template keeps showing up in my new and pending auctions. I would have thought that it would happen immeadiately. Does it perhaps take awhile? I have been trying to do this from the custom template page on the vendio page that shows all the custom things to do. Please advise. Thanks, Steve

Cyberage - Not to butt in but I've tried this too - the new template will only show up in your new listings (or in relists of your old) if you named it the same thing- otherwise you will have to select another default template or select the new one when you schedule the listing, or change your defaults.

Hi neglus, thanks for the input. I was able to do it on an individual auction by clicking on the new template and selecting individual options to personalize it. But I couldn't get it to lock in so it would automatically default for all my new and relisted auctions. I will try your way. Seems wierd to me but then again this is the net and Vendio does sometimes make things difficult. This should be such an easy thing to do but obiously it isn't. Also of course I still haven't had a response from vendio. Thanks again, Steve

Hi Neglus, sorry to report that it sdidn't work. Pulled up a relisted auction that was in pending. That had the old template. Went to the Template Workshop or whatever they call it and clicked on the new template. It appeared. Then at the bottom where it asks for a name I typed in the old template name instead of the new one. For that auction all was ok. But whn I looked at other auctions that were in pending they hadn't cjanged to the new template. So I'm doing somrthing wrong I guess. Any further inpu wopuld be appreciated. As I am in France and it is 11PM here I am hitting the sack. Talk to you again tomorrow. Thanks again, Steve
P.S. Please do not concern yourself about as you put it "butting in". That is sometimes the only way we get good answers. From other sellers that have the knowledge by experience. It is greatly appreciated.

Hello cyberageart,

What is the name of the template you're trying to replace, and the name of the new template? If you revise a template and save it with the same name, it should automatically appear in your saved listings (as long as they are not scheduled.)

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana, old template is Bamboo. Trying to replace it with "antique lace on blue". Clicked the "set Default" box and typed in the new name under the new template. Did all the other things in the workshop such as setting logos and other stuff. It works fine for one auction. Everytime I click on antique lace in the workshop the new template with my changes shows up. But it doesn't default to my new listings. That's what I want it to do. I don't understand why if my old template shows up automatically everytime why I can't get the new template to do the same. It is just one extra step I have to do to get the new template on a new or pending auction. Any other changes I make such as a change in text or anything like that always goes to all auctions that are not yet listed to launch. Don't understand why this doesn't. Steve

Hi - I just tried to create a new listing in your account and the template defaulted to 'antique lace on blue'. Have you tried clearing your browser cache/restarting your computer? You should see the change applied to new listings - for existing (saved) listings you'll need to go in and reselect the template.

Thanks,

Diana

Hi Diana, you are correct. Thank you. It is now showing as the default on all of my new listings. Don't understand though why it wont default into unlaunched pending listings. No big deal, I don't have that many to do and I can do each one manually. Thanks again, Steve
