Hi, have just pulled up three auctions from inventory to be launched in a few weeks. There is some custom listing text set in by default that I would not like to show on these three auctions only.
As I can't just delete the wording in a relist because they do not show until the auction is launched I am in a quandry.
Please advise how I can have this custom text deleted from these three auctions only. Thanks, Steve

Hello Steve,
Please let me know one of the listing numbers and the specific text that you are trying to remove, so that I can be sure to give you the correct answer.

Hi Nathan, boy that was a quick reply. Thank you. Anyway these three auctions won't be listed for a few weeks so there are no listing numbers as yet.
But, why don't you go into one of my existing auctions #290178240619 and take a look.
I want to delete everything after and including the words "Payment Information" that shows in blue.
As this information pertains only to my European location and auctions and these three particular auctions will be listed and shipped from the USA it would be less confusing to my buyers to not have to read all the info that does not pertain to that auction. As it is I get a dozen emails a week asking how much is shipping when practically all of my auctions say "Free Shipping". So need I say more? Thanks again, Steve

Hello Steve,
In order to remove this information for future listings, you will need to go to "My Account" --> "Custom Listing Text" and edit the information that appears here. Whatever listing text is in this section of your account will automatically be added to your listings at the time that they are listed.
If sometimes you need this information, and sometimes you do not, then you can create a template in the template workshop that will not include the "Custom Listing Text". But please be aware that it will still include the "Default Listing Text". If you want to go this route then I would suggest you move the "Default Listing Text" to the "Custom Listing Text" section.
In order to create a template that does not include the "Custom Listing Text", when editing the template in the Template Workshop, click on the "Edit Custom Info Box" button (near the bottom of your template). Then uncheck the box to the left that is labeled "Show this section in listing". Then whenever you use this template the "Custom Listing Text" will not be included in the listing.
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi Nathan, I am so sorry, but you lost me on the second paragraph copied below:
If sometimes you need this information, and sometimes you do not, then you can create a template in the template workshop that will not include the "Custom Listing Text". But please be aware that it will still include the "Default Listing Text". If you want to go this route then I would suggest you move the "Default Listing Text" to the "Custom Listing Text" section.
I cannot follow your train of thought. You say to create a template that will NOT include the custom text. But in the next sentence you say that "be aware that it will still include the Default Listing text"
That is the part that is confusing to me. Please bear in mind that I am not a computer expert. In fact I am still fairly novice like when it comes to techie stuff. So please "keep it simple" Thanks, Steve
There is a section at the top labeled 'eBay text' - this will appear in everything you list from Vendio.
Below that are the custom listing text sections, which will only appear in the templates that use the 'custom info box' that Nate referenced above.
I made a new template for you called 'antique lace no custom text' - this template WILL include the 'eBay text' on the page referenced above, but will NOT include all of the custom listing text further down.
Move all of the text that you don't want to include in everything you list into the custom listing text fields at the bottom of the page, and any details you do want included with everything you post into the 'eBay text' field at the top.
When you go to list an item where you don't want to use your 'custom listing text' just choose the template that was setup not to include it - 'antique lace no custom text.'
You can make your own template like this by editing one of your or our existing ones and making the change mentioned by Nate above, where you simply uncheck the box to include the custom info box.

Hi Christopher, I think I am being stupid today. This is not meant to be a slur, but I am just not getting it. I see the new custom template that you added in for me, Thank you. But when I click on it and continue down the page and do a quick preview all of my old custom default test is still there. I am missing something or not clicking on something. Would it be possible to have you do a complete auction page for me leaving out the custom text with the same template. Then I could just paste it into a few auctions that I will list while in the states in January.
I tried to list auctions the old way last year while in the states and you would not believe the confusion it caused. Some of the questions I received were quite comical. I am trying to avoid that this upcoming trip by just having an auction that doesn't mention France anywhere at all in the auction. That would make my life and my buyers observance of my auctions much simpler. The less stuff you have to put in the better. It would be great if you could help me out on this, especially since a couple of the auctions will be for very expensive items (over $500.00). Thanks again, Steve
